This is so slow! You have to retrieve items from the conveyor belt and place them on the bottom, but at this speed it will take you about a week to fill up all the space. You must retrieve them before they fall off the conveyor belt or you lose your pay, lose too many and you're sacked, well with the speed this chap is going at what chance do you have with it?

A BASIC written game with several stages re-released by Quicksilva. Although written in a such a slow programming language, not at all adequate for action games, Packhouse Pete is in fact quite nice. I think Quicksilva saw some charm about the game and I confess I also did. The first and most important stage plays very similarly to Apple Jam, probably one game inspired the other. It features several different actions, like using the cat to kill the stealing mice or end line production when boxes are full. The next stages are all well written but a bit ordinary, although some nice humorous situations occur. Again, so a BASIC game it's quite nice.
