Reviews for Feud (#1744)

A game where you played a wizard competing to kill the other evil wizard.

The game involved walking around colourful screens and picking up different plant type ingredients to make different spells. If you got a few combinations, when the other wizard appeared on the screen you could cast your spell and try and kill the other wizard.

The game was quick, easy to play and fantastic value for money. Well worth a play.

This game rocks! Frantically collecting incrediants to cast spells at your opponent wizard is tense, and really gets your adrenaline going. The sprites are big and colourfull and the spells really satisfying to cast. Always thought this would make for an outstanding two player game.

There´s nothing wrong with Feud but nothing -or very little- ever happens so ... what´s the point ?

3 / 5 .

The battle between enemy wizard brothers Learic and Leanoric (a quite strange choice for names, I thought back in the day...) is a well-known example of an above average Spectrum budget game. For just £ 1.99 - or Lit. 5,000 if you lived here - you had a nice maze/collect title which unfortunately became too easy when you understood that just by collecting every spell ingredient whilst avoiding Leanoric and Hieke, the gardener, and then hitting Leanoric with everything you had got for his quick demise, the game went to a successful end. But I still have a soft spot for this game, due to several pleasing afternoons I spent by playing it. 4/5

This is quite alright but I usually found myself just wondering around endlessly and found myself to be bored with this quite quickly. Also, my mate had this on the Amstrad and that had great music whereas this doesn't, and no music added to the boredom for me.
