The worse Zaxxon-type game I ever played in my life. Its almost impossible to detect your ship while crossing the landscapes. Also when accelerating or decelerating you use the same keys as the up and down controls making the playing experience a mess.
Simple awful.

A Zaxxon clone which was inspired by a ZZ Top song promo video! Now that's quite an unusual inspiration. I can't really remember which song it was - I am not a fan of the bearded duo although not disliking it -, but the game could have been much more playable than it is, if you could have been able to tell your ship better from the overly-detailed backgrounds which form each of the three levels.

128K sound is great and it's the best part of the game. Unfortunately the messy graphics take a heavy toll on playability. The idea is overall interesting - it's the technical realization which leaves a lot to be desidered.

Mediocre Zaxxon clone let down by dodgy graphics and clumsy gameplay.

If it weren´t for the transparent color of our ship this Leviathan could have been a true legend ,,,

It's a bi-directional Zaxxon, with a very marked penchant for disguise or hide'n'seek, in fact the sprites, and yours in particular, tend to completely disappear into the monochrome mess, causing interstellar disasters. Mixing the smooth movements of Leviathan with the more colourful approach of U.S. Gold conversion of Zaxxon would have resulted in a potentially nice space 3d shoot'em up, but as it is it's a bit of an unplayable mess. Quite nice music in the 128k version.

The infamous game that wouldn't load!

I got bought this game as a gift something like twice for my birthday by 2 different people one year, then once for my birthday, and twice for Christmas the following year.

None of those copies worked!

Guess I dodged a bullet, but I'm breaking the mould a little here, this is the first game I'm reviewing based on that particular experience. I know the game is a pile of crap, and I know I'd probably give it a 1, because shooters in iso-3D work almost as badly as fighting games in the same perspective. But I haven't actually played this game at all...

To add insult to injury way back in 1998 when I got my first PC the emulator image of this game wouldn't load either.

I'm aware this problem has been fixed, but after all these years I just outright refuse to actually play this shitfest now as I know it would basically be a waste of time!

Some might say I'm being unfair as I've never played it, but I know it's shit, I don't actually need to play it. You know when you just know?

Yup right here that feeling, for reals!
