I love this game. Good opening title music and image of your route through the UK. In game play was fustrating at times, with dodgey collision detection. Collecting the milk bottles to keep your energy from running out before the end of the stage could, on later levels be the end of the game in one wrong move! Milk Race could do with a password system on each stage to make the game a little easier. Only with the benefit of being able to 'snapshot' the image under emulation was I able to complete this game, and found out that sometimes on the last level their wasn't enough bottles to complete the stage anyway!!! There is no ending sequence (even if you win the race and not just complete it) which is an anticlimax to say the least!!!

I really wanted to love this game when I saw a photo in an U.K. magazine. I had to wait some time until it was released in Spain. Unfortunately, I expected some kind of cycling simulator and it's a horizontal scrolling arcade where you have to avoid other cycles and get the milk bottles.

I was dissapointed then, but now I find it is a good game. It just its genre I don't like very much.

Bicycle racing game.
Very challenging and hard.
It becomes very addictive if you're into action racing games, plus the need to catch milk bottles to stay alive in the race and the clock ticking add so much to the fun of racing.
I used to play this one a lot when I first bought it.

I wasn't sure wether to give this a 3 or a 4. It's definitely above average. It does have a few flaws though. Firstly the collision detection is poor. Secondly changing gears is a bit fiddly. And thirdly the placement of milk bottles at the side of the road is a little odd. It also means you'll spend most of the race hogging one or other of the kerbs so as not too miss them. Cycling is a tricky sport to replicate, but I reckon Milk Race does a pretty good job of it.

Cracking game Milk Race, made all the better in Speccy gaming competition a few years ago. Pushing this cycling game hard made it show its true colours - a game that requires bursts of fast action and some careful strategy, its all rather well designed and pitched at the right balance of frustrating to still be addictive.
Much better than it first appears to be.

Nice bicycle race game.
