1986 Newdata Software (UK)
by D.D. Clarke

This 1986 game was completely unknown to me until now but ended being a nice surprise. It's nothing special, just a fun one screen at a time maze game. In a way it's a variation of Pacman mixed with Cavelon, but other games come into my mind. In each screen you just have to catch all the flashing squares in order to complete each level. The real challenge comes in positioning your ship correctly in the each square without being caught by any alien life.
There is a wide variety of enemies and mazes, each with a different name.
The gameplay is very fluid, movement happens smoothly you just have to watch out for corners, where you can get trapped more easily, but that is just until you master it.
D.D. Clarke only wrote this game for the Spectrum but his skills show he could have enriched even more the Speccy games catalog if he had continued.
