Reviews for Myth: History in the Making (#3354)

Review by Rebelstar Without a Cause on 18 May 2013 (Rating: 5)

Myth has a bizarre control scheme that sees you pressing down to jump straight up while pressing up will make you jump forwards. Until you get used to these controls you'll find yourself hurling yourself into pits of lava with alarming regularity.
It is worth persevering though because Myth is an excellent game and boasts some of the best graphics and animation seen on ZX Spectrum.

Excellent movements , cool graphics , creepy atmosphere ,,, poor sound !!

Myth is a late game from the last days of the Spectrum that still retains some of the old magic .

Recommended !

4,5 out of 5 .

This is without any shadow of a doubt, one of the best games ever written for the Spectrum. Graphics and animation, character movements and in-game action is superb. Had it been released earlier, and it would have reached a higher cult status.

This was a pretty game on 16-bit computers when it came out, and the Speccy got a worthy version.
Adventure, platforming, action and atmosphere, and lots of it. Animation and graphics are spot on, and the game-play is tough but fair.
This was written by the same guys that did Rex for the Speccy, and it shows. The presentation is very similar, that is no bad thing.
A real epic in terms of Spectrum games. Late to the party, but a classic.

Luckily there were hig quality "optimized" games back in the day. That is, using advanced techniques or the like.
This is a perfect example

I love this game.

Maybe I do it for its graphics, its animation, the mythological background, the adventure style gameplay... Or maybe
I love the game for all of those
