1983 C-Tech (UK)
by Nigel Alderton
This was the first game ever published by the mythic Nigel Alderton of Chuckie Egg fame.
It's a Penetrator clone and I think it's quite good, not better but good. It's slightly different. You don't just move one way, you can reverse direction, you can also stop in mid-air. There is a reason for that.
The object of each level is to destroy a certain number of red alien ships. This can be quite tricky because some are hidden inside caves difficult to access. So stopping in mid-air and moving up and down carefully will allow you to get where they are hidden.
There are also green missiles and patrolling purple aliens and also fuel tanks to blow, important to re-fuel your ship. I enjoyed the game and find it quite addictive, I would have certainly played it back in 1983.
