This was a free game I had from a Sinclair User cover tape in '89. It is a space harrier type game, using 'digitised' sprites of the sinclair user staff.
The game certainly looks impressive for a free spectrum game, but the game play was just dull. Worth a quick look, but not a game that will have you coming back for more.

A supposed Space Harrier type game that came free with Sinclair User magazine......Space Harrier this aint.

While the game features such amazing music from J. Dave Rogers (Cybernoid 1 & 2, Netherworld) the gameplay is absolute dire. It's near impossible to hit the enemies on the screen and when you shoot quickly the previous missile disappears before it reaches the target. So guess what?........When you're autofiring it means you're shooting entirely blanks! Rubbish! Thank goodness it was free because if we paid money for such a terrible game with such naft gameplay we would have demanded a refund!

One for the ages.....nah more like one for the bin!

A free game - clone of Space Harrier - which was given with Sinclair User in November 1988. Graphics and sound (especially on 128K) are worth noting - the digitised cartoon portraits of the SU staff and Kamikaze Bear (which I found quite useless by the way) look convincing.

The problem is that you should shoot only one bullet at a time; if you shoot again before the bullet hits its target, it will disappear and be replaced by another one. This makes the game much less entertaining than it would have been. As it is, it's just average.

The music is sublime, but that's it. It's nothing more than a poor man's Space Harrier. But hey at least it was free.
