First international success of Spanish software.

This Bugaboo the Flea is original both in its conception and in its development.

A remarkable game indeed which has aged quite gracefuly and that retains its playability as high as when was first released !!! Sheer excellence !!

Magic !! Pure magic !!

5 / 5 .

A classic of the early days.
The loading screen sequence, with its totally cinematic titles, was a delight to watch and put you in the right mood to play.
The game screen layout was another great feature, nice to look at and cleverly designed to make the players life difficult.
It has aged considerably, but otherwise continues to retain that mysterious quality it had in the beginnings of Spectrum gaming.

My first Speccy game! I got this along with my zx48k (and the pack in games) and never got tired of it, but never did reach the surface. The loading screen is excellent too, setting up the story in a way unlike any other speccy game I've seen. That dragon is scary too, always made me jump!

Bugaboo is an absolute triumph of design. The drawing and the colours show off the Spectrum palette well and the cave design and dragon build great atmosphere.
That little cave seemed unfathomably huge, yet it only takes an expert a matter of seconds to leap out and complete the game.
Remarkably few players ever bring the hapless flea to the surface in this flea flee to fleedom epic.
Its a beautiful and simple game, just jump left or jump right and try not to panic.
A strange anomaly is that the authors behind it created a few more games for the Spectrum but delivered nothing that can touch Bugaboo for quality.
