Another game I could have sworn I did ages ago and as it appears I never did. Here we control Bertie the Bee and we have to collect fruit, seems simple right? However, if we get trapped in the web or hit the edge of the screen, a big fucking spider appears to eat you, my partner hates spiders but even I was freaked out a bit upon seeing it, jeepers creepers. I have to say, the graphics are really nice and the spider particularly is excellent, I mean this is 1984 and look what was being produced here, absolutely astonishing. However the gameplay is the big letdown here as there isn't really much of it. You just fly around collecting fruit and the likelihood you will not last long, oh and you have one life as well it appears, as once the spider gets you it's back to the start and back to 0 points. It's a shame it doesn't offer more because this would have been a good title for 1984 with graphics this good, but instead it's a game you'll likely play for about 3 minutes then put it away and never touch it again. And this was £4.95 which isn't really that steep for 1984 but you would expect more of a game for your money compared to what you get here.
