Re: Rod Bowkett and Steve Crow

I just got a reply from Rod Bowkett to "come out of retirement so he can finish his Dynamite Dan II game for the fans by putting in place Blitzen's lab on island 8" Sorry to disappoint but I don’t think it will happen I’m afraid, at least not in this lifetime. So many other interesting cha...

Re: Rod Bowkett and Steve Crow

I know some links about Rod Bowkett. Yesterday I emailed him and gave him a link to this post.

He replied to me a couple of hours ago: "Lovely to hear that 40 years later my games are still played."

Hint about the answer - he's a composer. Maybe he will write himself.

Re: Copies for yourself, local hackers ?

Since these are copies (and many different games on one cassette), then the protection is removed in any case.
I rarely see such cassettes on the UK market.
I have seen a famous video of pirates in the UK (Commercial Break), but have not yet seen a single tape of the compilation.

Re: Copies for yourself, local hackers or re-import

I from Ukraine (ex USSR republic).

We could only buy original games after the collapse of the USSR. up to this point, we basically only had tapes like in this photo.

On this I clarify what kind of cassette in the photo. The seller simply resells the item.

Copies for yourself, local hackers ?

Yesterday I saw a rare and interesting cassette at ebay.co.uk

How do You think, how was such a cassette created and how often it happens in the UK ?

Sorry for my English.

Re: Little bugs in the database 3

I recently added Legends Of Bytes to ZXDB. This magazine is an excellent source of information about Speccy game authors! Someone fluent in Russian should be able to obtain lots of useful information still missing from our database. It's currently published by a guy called Gennadiy. If someone has ...
