I'm missing a high value item for the shopkeeper. The original game had a video camera in the treehouse, but that's been moved

Re: Treasure Island Dizzy (Classic Edition 2023)
I've downloaded this and I'm stuck. I haven't discovered anything apart from the stuff in the normal game.
Is there a secret jump onto a cloud? I've tried it at the top of the treehouse and I can't quite get to the cloud.
The only items I have left:
Bucket
tube of toothpaste
Bible

Re: Tasword Plus 3 memory corruption
Silly question. Have you tried the software on another +3? Mine is an issue 2. If you have a .dsk file I could fire up the gotek?

Re: +3 disk read error - can anyone help
Are you sure the drive belt hasn't gone? It's probably the #1 cause of read errors with 3" drives. Hi andy I reinstated the original +3 Roms and did the QAZPLM test. On the spin-speed test I'm getting a result of 02-03% of desired speed. The drive seems to read other disks fairly OK. Do you th...

Re: +3 disk read error - can anyone help
I'm trying disk doctor out right now, it's not looking good so far. All tracks but one are coming up as bad. I could try cleaning the disks? For a sanity check, is there any software that does the +3 spin speed test - like in the factory QAZPLM test? I'm running a +3e rom so I no longer have that op...

+3 disk read error - can anyone help
Hi all My +3 normally has a Gotek as a:. another spectrum user wanted some files copied off some 3" disks to a .dsk image. So my plan was to reinstate the original 3" drive as drive A and the Gotek as drive b:. Then I would copy the files across in +3 basic. However I can't read either of ...

Twin Kingdom Valley is one I completed back in the day. It helps you out a bit with the input, so no random verb guessing.
I also managed to complete Quest for the Golden Eggcup. It's very quirky, but funny,

Quest for the golden eggcup was great for swearing. You'd end up being thrown in a dungeon and have to figure out how to escape.

Re: What do you now know many years later
I could have saved myself a lot of lines at Geography with Mr Withit in Skooldaze. There's not enough seats - so I always used to get lines for sitting on the floor or standing up. The solution is to follow Mr Withit into the room and hide behind him as he turns around. The blackboard is a map, so h...

Gotek on my zx spectrum +3.
All of a sudden I have loads of virtual disc games.
Even better if they've been hacked to load/save on a disc drive

Re: Grey +2 RGB SCART help wanted
there is a 20" Sony Bravia local to me on gumtree for £25. If the seller agrees I could bring the +2 round, hook it up and if it works all good. That’s certainly an option. It’s ultimately your choice, but if you’re thinking of purchasing a dedicated TV set for you Speccys, may I suggest you g...

Re: Grey +2 RGB SCART help wanted
I heard some +2s have incorrectly placed transistors. Which transistors are affected? And what problems would it cause? It’s the three 2N3904s: TR4, TR5, and TR7. TR7 and TR5, even if mounted incorrectly, will generally cause no trouble with the video signal. TR4 is part of the circuitry that forms...

Have you seen this link? https://www.benophetinternet.nl/hobby/vanmezelf/ZX%20Spectrum%20128K%20video%20fixes%20and%20video%20cables.pdf I've just been looking at that. Re: Grey +2 RGB SCART help wanted
Yep, fit links 2, 3, and 8 for SCART output. (remove 1, 4, and 7) That still won't be exactly the same because the +3 shorts the two 12V lines together meaning you can't use aspect/function switching (unless you cut the track on the motherboard and add a second resistor), but your cable won't be wi...

Grey +2 RGB SCART help wanted
Can anyone confirm which what needs to be set on a grey +2 so the RGB socket functions the same as a +2A/+3? I would like to use the RGB output on a modern-ish TV. My ZX spectrum +3 works great with it's RGB lead from retro computer shack. I would like to use this same lead with my +2. I have had th...

Re: +3 disk conversions
For multi-load that don't already have a disk release you will need to find a version that somebody has hacked to put in a disk loader or converted to an all-in-ones. I've not seen many of the former, if any, but the single loads are more common and Loader-8 released a load on Facebook recently. Is...

Nuggetreggae is a member of the WoS forum, although he hasn't been active there for some years by now. He made several corrections for software incompatibilities with the +2A/+3. He also made several installers to create custom made disk images of existing files. You can download them from [url= ht...

Since getting a gotek, my +3 has been getting a lot of use. I'd like to get hold of some .dsk files for it - particularly games that were multiload and tape only. Also where any incompatibilities have been fixed, so they run on a +3 Does anyone know of a good resources? I found one spanish site http...
