Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Just a quick question about gigascreen viewer... it seems it changes video pages every frame instead of every line. The gigascreen images should look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiqrdlxhR-4&ab_channel=ModernZX-RetroGaming (they do flicker a bit)... the "dragon" file: htt...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Thanx bob ! :) Just got the OMNI a few days ago and using the browser ALL the time now. I can only recommend the omni if you want a fully-fledged 128k spectrum (+2A timings) in a rubbery 48k package (which is really indistinguishable from original) and whats most important - perfect RGB video output...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Hi Bob. Been using the browser for a while now and I would like to make a request :) Would it be possible to add an option for snapshot plugin that would wait for a keypress after the snapshot is loaded and just before the final JMP to start the game? So that the loading screen would be visible unti...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
RIP sir Clive Sinclair. Sad day
And thanks to this very browser I still use my first computer daily... Nothing beats the feeling of the rubber keys and the noisy video output on a real ZX spectrum 48k. Thanx again Bob!

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Thank you for the Slideshow mode in the SCR plugin (I had it hacked in here before). Please add support for keys LEFT/RIGHT also in Slideshow mode, so one can also go through the pictures manually if you want to skip a picture or go back to the previous one.

Managed to rip the font from the other browser (before I redraw it), so now it is 100% the same :

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
The one thing I like with that other browser is the nice bold font. So I went ahead and tried to recreate that font in bob's browser... here is how it looks: https://i.ibb.co/fxzsydK/newfont.png If anyone wants to try it, here it is in the BROWSE.BIN (previous test version). There is also the binary...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Current version only displays 426 files. Previous one displayed all files in the directory, but files after 426 would have normal 8.3 short filenames. The file limit has always been 426 files (since v0.05) for a folder. Versions prior to v0.06 only showed 256 files in a folder. The browser falls ba...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
You're welcome. :) It's always nice to see you here, my friend. It is really nice seeing you are still active on the zx scene. I am doing stuff on-off these days, did a lot of C64 things in the past years, but now bob has brought the spectrum back with the LFN browser which is really THE thing we w...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Thank you. Flashing the ZXUno with the FLASH1.ZX was succesfull. The .HDF file from my own SD Card image is working perfectly in it. And what an emulator this is really, something completely different. The CRT emulation filters are great and everything feels really well thought out. Thanx for sharin...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Tested on RVM (Retro Virtual Machine) on a 48k machine with virtual DivMMC Hi. I tried it with my .hdf file created from a real SD card used on my DivMMC but I cannot get it to work on Retro virtual machine emulator. It gets to loading the BETADISK.SYS file then freezes... http://pc.sux.org/tomcat/...

Now I can execute all type files using the browser except the .tzx files. The problem is mine for sure...but I don’t know which problem is... Pd: use real zx spectrum 48k with DivMMC future TZX files are not supported, use PZX instead. Are you sure :) He says " use real zx spectrum 48k with Di...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Great stuff there bob.
If anyone would like to look at the .art files (Art Studio on C64) on a standard ZX Spectrum without ULA Plus support then you can use this version:
http://pc.sux.org/tomcat/ArtStandardZX.zip
They don't look as perfect as witht he ULAPlus of course, but some do look ok

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Ok, the first bug (not going to position 0 in the list when browsing the Cached directories) is fixed Very nice.
I can reproduce the bug of zx reseting when exiting the .browse if entering cached directories every time on my 48k + divMMC future interface.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
There is one issue when browsing through the directories... Have to go out of the browser and back in to get ...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Another bug. If I use the .browse command (not the NMI button) and I exit the browser with CAPS+SPACE the spectrum resets itself. This is on an 48k speccy. I seem to remember it didn't do that before.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Wow, this is great. Loving the plugin navigation using the configured keys, it brings everything together as a single utility. Really great work.
Also Pokes seem to work, just tried a few but will do more testing soon.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
.POK plugin problems might be that ALL pokes seem to be applied always, regardless of what you select. Just noticed this with the multipoke files... I always applied all before, but now even if I don't select ANY of them with SPACE they all get applied.
