Chibi Akumas Epsidode 1 - V1.666 coming to spectrum 128k in 2018!

Well, I'm happy at this stage to show early screenshots of the game, so I've created this little 'Multiplatform Teaser' Poster which shows the game from all 3 hardware platforms! I think I've done a fairly good job of porting the game's style to the ZX-Spectrum's graphical capabilities... I hope you...

Re: Write binary data to TRD from ASM

YES! it's working great, thanks Hikaru! it seems my problem was not the code, or trdtool, but something with my emulator, I was using TR-DOS 5.04 (UK) and it was somehow failing to even save a bas file to a newly formatted disk from it's own interface (It was renaming the disk??!!) Well, I've moved ...

Re: Write binary data to TRD from ASM

I'm using the "C = # 0B - write to the disk CODE file type" - or at least trying to, as TR-Dos is getting stuck in an infinate loop. when I was trying to figure out writing Hikaru gave me a great source sample, but even that didn't work, I had to hack my destination address into the Tr-Dos variables...

Write binary data to TRD from ASM

I'm trying to write a file to a TRD image using assembly, and I'm having some trouble. I was wondering if anyone had a small code sample of how to do it so I can use that as a template, as I'm clearly misunderstanding something, as I can't see what I'm doing wrong! I need to write about 60 bytes of ...

Re: Missed Interrupts with DI+IM2 in assembly

Thanks for everyone's feedback - it saves me searching spectrum documentation for a solution that does not exist!

I will look at rewriting my code to reduce the number of DI's required, and force the music to update if has not been updated recently to get it playing as consistently as I can.

Missed Interrupts with DI+IM2 in assembly

Hello there! I'm currently working on porting my Chibi Akumas game from the CPC to the ZX spectrum (and msx), things are going well, but one thing on the speccy has caught me out, so I thought I'd ask some advise on here! Just to point out I'm using a custom interrupt handler using IM2, and do not u...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hello! Just signed up today! I'm Keith - I'm English, but I'm living in Japan these days. I have a 48k spectrum, a grey +2 and a +3! I'm the developer of the 'Chibi Akumas' games on the Amstrad CPC, and I'm currently working on porting the games to the Spectrum - it's early days, and it's a tough jo...
