Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them

The XXI installment of the series is also now online, with many programs, specially for your house accounting, some graphics utilities and other available. Also some excitement with a picture of Marilyn Monroe :D A game, Enterprise, seems to be already preserved from a magazine, as well as Qubert. h...

Re: Advanced Search in SC, possible new parameter in "Order by" section?

There isn't an answer on your question, but maybe you know maybe you don't about the existence of the section 'Releases' on the home page: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=301 Here you can sort all titles by release data or entry_id (higher ID = newer title). Yes, I know that :) But th...

Advanced Search in SC, possible new parameter in "Order by" section?

I was thinking that may be very interesting to add a new parameter in the "Order by" part of the search, and that would be the date of upload of the file in Spectrum Computing. That way we will be able to sort out the results of a search by the date it was added to the database, so we can ...

And the sixth batch of German programs! This time is a lot of utilities and programs (music and so on). In this case the need of German natives is probably even more needed, as they are difficult to identify or check if they are type-ins/translations: https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C27a27A/C2...

The fifth batch of 20 German games/programs is out! Re: Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them

The original Amiga Ball was a type-in from a 1986 magazine, I only remember that because I have in fact typed in that listing back in 1987 or so. I managed to find it here: Happy Computer, issue 8/1986 (August), page 79-80 Author: Frank Andert (the name is shown in the very first line of the Basic ...

And the 4th batch! https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C21a23A/C21a23A.htm Programs to closely watch: -Amiga ball Demo: It seems quite advanced for a homebrew demo. This probably is from the late 80s and maybe XTM could shed some light? :o -Skisprung: Somewhat more sofisticated game -Biathlon (als...

This is definitely, one of the best Spectrum games ever. Got me so hooked about 17 years ago until I completed it, playing it every evening for 2 weeks (it has passwords, so that is another point in favor). At the beginning it may seem very complicated to master, but when you get the hold of the con...
