Re: The best playable demo of a full price game on a YS/Crash/SU covertape: vote

I've never been keen on the 'World cup tournament' way of finding a winner. I mean, it does usually lead to a worthy winner, but it also has a strong probability that mediocre entries get towards the top. My current idea is to do a preliminary poll where, instead of the usual radio button, users ge...

Re: The best playable demo of a full price game on a YS/Crash/SU covertape: vote

Ironically enough, it has been! My first thought was to throw in every playable demo from a YS/Crash/SU covertape, but that - at 138 entries - goes above the phpBB poll limits, so I've broken it into full price and budget. And yeah, it is still quite huge on the full price side. I could break it do...

I like RPGs and get the urge to make a bard's tale type game for the spectrum. ... If I can't be bothered then I assume hardly anyone has played any rpg for the spectrum released after 2005? Wychweald came in 2nd in the 2023 Game of The Year vote on here, and it's exactly a Bard's Tale style RPG. S...

I'm now wondering why I ever thought Eugene's Lair was difficult. My 14-year-old tried Manic Miner a few weeks ago ( with infinite lives on) and made it as far as Eugene, as is traditional. They eventually got the last key but at the wrong time, and was aghast when Eugene blocked the way. Still tri...

I do think I saw a bug where I half-ate a power pill which disappeared but I didn't get powered up. Like I turned around while eating it at just the wrong moment? Still, great work.
