Re: The best Speccy game by Bug-Byte: discussion

Spectral Invaders has the charm of being considered one of the first Spectrum games, published in 1982. Yeah, from doing research for this, I've learnt that Bug-Byte (and its future labelmate Quicksilva) had games ready for the Spectrum pretty much off the bat. QuickSilva especially so, according t...

Disregarding MM my vote would go to Turmoil. A great platform game BITD and I love the way the oil has dual uses. It was really fun setting traps for the Arab enemies.

Re: ZX Spectrum Next Discussion

It's not finished? I've seen one in action in the flesh via someone who backed it???

EDIT: Oh, is it the full one with the keyboard that's not ready? The one I saw was just the motherboard.

Re: The best classic Speccy game A-Z POLL OF POLLS

Pleased with the final result. My vote went to Knight Lore but have zero complaints that MM won. To have three absolutely iconic Spectrum games in the top three is pretty cool.

Re: The best classic Speccy game A-Z POLL OF POLLS

Went for Knight Lore, even though it's not the most playable game in that list. I just think of it as one of the most important videogame releases in history, nevermind just Speccy history, and to this day remains one of two truly jaw-dropping games I've seen on release (Mario 64 the other). And rat...

eBay Driller - Original Big Box

Been having a splurge of selling stuff on eBay recently that I don't use anymore and (surprisingly I feel) I'm struggling to get rid of my copy of Driller - it's been re-listed a few times. So thought would advertise it here and hopefully shift the thing!

Re: Expensive software

The Hobbit was 14.95 in 1982, albeit with a book. That's £50 in today's money.

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with #: vote

I think the fairest thing would be to start the poll again without Deathchase. Saying that though 180 will probably win the second place vote as it is AND win it outright if the poll was started again
