Re: The best Speccy game by Quicksilva: discussion

Ant Attack will probably win, but it's by no means a dead-cert as other favourites in these polls have shown. Re: The best Speccy game by Beyond Software: vote

What I'm most shocked about are the two votes for Spellbound and it getting more votes than Doomdark. Q*Bert games, other than Pogo, are pretty dire on the Speccy and Spellbound is a particularly poor version. Re: What's your second favourite retro computer?

Atari ST. Got mine late '88 and it's almost as beloved as my Speccy. Got so many years out of it and thanks to the likes of Automation, Pompey Pirates a seemingly never-ending supply of new games :-)

Edit: Doh! I can see that the "dixel" term had already been found way earlier in this thread!

Re: The best Speccy game by Beyond Software: discussion

I guess a Mike Singleton game will probably win this but I never could get into the Midnight games. A lot of the Beyond game were marmite for me - they had a lot of style and undoubtedly huge depth if you could get into them but I never could. Didn't like Psytron or Shadowfire either. Funnily enough...

At the time, Gerry the Germ looked looked the business from the stills put played like a pudding in reality.
