There were other people having the same idea :) https://planetasinclair.blogspot.com/2024/02/premier-iii.html :o :o :o :o No way!! That's incredible. What an obscure game for that to have happened on completely separately...then to be unearthed within months of each other! PeteProdge yeah, I ...

Re: Something I noticed about Renegade 3
Yeah, you may have a point, Renegade/Target Renegade set the bar so high, that amazing artwork in the ads, then to cap it all that utterly shameless Crash review set expectations to a colossal level. Had it have been a budget game with nothing to do with the series, called "Time Punk" then...

Something I noticed about Renegade 3
On the database it has a vote for every score 1 to 10, I wonder if it's the only game that has that? https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/4090/ZX-Spectrum/Renegade_III https://i.postimg.cc/VJYW3MnP/Screenshot-2024-04-17-06-16-34-090-edit-com-android-chrome.jpg Not sure I'd want to take a trip into ...

Re: The best playable demo of a full price game on a YS/Crash/SU covertape: vote
It's odd, there's 3 games there where I have definite memories of playing the absolute heck out of the demos & really enjoying them, but never getting the full game (19, Skate Crazy & Mad Mix)
All 3 I got to play through emulation years later & was pretty disappointed with.

Christmas '83 it came with Horizons and we got Pool, Hunchback and Football Manager. Played all 3 to death, still love Pool & FM, have a bit of a love/hate thing with Hunchback.

Re: SHEEPISH-so much violence in the world of herding!
I don't know about having to reveal how many levels there are, there seems to be a rush to have walkthroughs & spoilers for absolutely every single element of pretty much every brand new Speccy game within moments of release (especially when Devs have spent months crafting them), so it's nice to...

Re: DenOfGeek : The games that defined the Spectrum
If I was to pick a dozen games that defined the Spectrum there'd probably be a decent crossover with that list, not bad when there's tens of thousands of them!
After reading Pete's summary, I don't think I'll bother reading the actual article.

Freddie Lakers Airline Capers - backstory, from the other forum, is here  Love this. When I read the opening post I was thinking that if someone did that, then there'd be Boffins who would be able to work through the code & discover that it was much more recent. Must have a crack at the ga...

Atari Driving Controller Games
I've only recently been able to pick up my Next & I'm really impressed with it. One of the unexpected bonuses is that the excellent game Bikers allows you to use the Atari 2600's driving controller, which is incredible, I absolutely love being able to use the spinner controls. They obviously wor...
