Re: (Re)discovering the Turbosound FM
[Update 15/Feb/2023] After almost 2 years of research, I can finally publish my first project draft: https://gitlab.com/Szk_BR/Explorer-FM . If you're familiar with NedoPC's TS and TSFM hardware, I/O decoding and chip select mechanisms, please check out my schematic Rev 0.3, and let me know your imp...

Re: Quick question about new Spectrum+ and HDMI connection
A third option (besides the ZX-HD and Spectra) is the ZX-VGA-Joy.
If your TV/monitor doesn't have a VGA input, a cheap VGA-HDMI adaptor shall give a much better image than composite video to HDMI.

Re: Divmmc Future and Next?
A DivMMC circuit is already reproduced in the Next's FPGA, so there's no reason at all to plug an external device. If you really want to, you can setup the Next to disable the internal circuit so your external device should be recognized, but then it will be limited to 3.5MHz as noted. Maybe [mentio...

Re: (Re)discovering the Turbosound FM
After years, the TSFM is certainly not rare, it has been produced several times in Poland and in other Central European countries, available in the past on the Sellmyretro, the last batch is from here: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://oldcomp.cz/viewtopic.php?f%...

Re: (Re)discovering the Turbosound FM
Hmm, what do you wanna do? Produce in-game music? For a Spectrum with an exotic card, that nobody has? If it's for producing music in general, I'd suggest getting a (4 octave mini keys) midi controller keyboard and using a DAW with freeware plugins. Sure sounds better than OPL3-chips. You can even ...

Re: im not being funny but why did they not develop homebrew games for the sam coupe instead of creating the spectrum ne
"Why did they"? Well, for a start, "they" wanted to develop a new hardware, not a new software. Then "they" called a crowdfunding campaign that attracted 3K+ backers who invested a total £725K. Despite some criticism, overall it was so successful that a second campaign ...

Re: (Re)discovering the Turbosound FM
NEO SPECTRUMAN thank you for the download links! I'll try your program in an emulator (is there other options than Unreal that support the Pentagon and TSFM?) and on my Spectrums (a variety of models from the 128K up to the Next) when I have assembled a prototype of my project (th...

(Re)discovering the Turbosound FM
Hello Spectrum Computing's music loving community. Please forgive my long first post. In the last 12 months or so, I've been studying Yamaha's FM synthesizer chips from the 90's, how they've been used back then in PC AdLib/SoundBlasters, in Japanese NEC and Fujitsu PC's, in the Sega Megadrive etc, a...

Re: NSID_Emu - SID Player for Spectrum
Hi NEO SPECTRUMAN I've recently heard about your programs NSID and S98 players for the TSFM and would like to try them, but looks like all previous download links you provided here and on ZX-PK.ru are removed? Is there a place where we can get your latest versions? Thank you!
