Re: Simple AY IF Rev 7

Exolon won't play the music, if it finds an original 48K ROM. Try something like Into The Eagles Nest, which lets you manually choose 48K/128K sounds. Try this and see if you get the same value back: OUT 65533,0 OUT 49149,x PRINT IN 65533 Yes i get the same value back, does this mean the AY chip is...

Re: Simple AY IF Rev 7

Most AY boards need their audio output connecting to an audio amplifier. The output from the sound chip can't drive headphones. Mark I tried it with headphones and i also use the left/right audio inputs on my TV using a 3.5 to RCA Phono x 2 and i get no sound when selecting 128K sound on Into the E...

Re: Simple AY IF Rev 7

I have not tried that i have to admit. I have tried Bosconian 87 and that is supposed to have AY music, with headphone all I can hear is some distorted clicks, scratches, white noise where it almost sounds like it is trying to play some music. I think the AY chip may be faulty. Are there any ways to P...

Simple AY IF Rev 7

Hi I have just bought a simple AY board with a Pass-Through connector fitted and i cannot get any sound out of it. There is some faint distorted sound playing Exolon but only shooting and explosions - no music, no sound at all from Cybernoid 2. These are both listed as being 48K/AY games. The pass t...

vDrive

Probably the least used hardware. Drop in replacement of real Microdrive.

I did have one reserved but had to let it go due to financial pressures I do like this solution a lot though.

Modern methods of saving BASIC programs

Hi I am a bit out of the loop these days and was wondering what hardware and methods do most people use for saving progress for any programs they are working on. I am talking about a 48K Rubber Key or 48K+ only i don't have a +2/+3 and talking about real hardware not Emulators or do most people use ...

Re: ZX Spectrum 48K - Issue 3B

OOOpps  I was using a Modern stereo 3.5 Male to stereo 3.5 Male plug. My other Spectrum is a +2B and i didn't realise i needed mono cables to get the sound. I have managed to get some joy with a Mono-Mono lead converting TZX's to Wav's and then changing them to 24 Bit PCM and upping it to 4800...

ZX Spectrum 48K - Issue 3B

Hi I have just acquired a really nice condition little 48K Rubber Key Speccy along with a working ZX Interface 1. I didn't give it a full once over until this morning as all i had time for was to turn it on and give the keyboard a test. So today i tried to load some Wav's, TZX's and finally some rea...
