I can just about manage golf games, snooker and pool, but when it comes to management of sports, its a big no for me. Don't think i ever played any of these, and don't want to either...

Technics SL-1410 Mk2 Direct Drive with an SME arm and Ortofon stylus.
Digital display, does 33 and 45, auto return, pitch control and almost instant start/stop.
A great turntable. Weighs a ton (not literally, but its very heavy).

Re: The best playable demo of a full price game on a YS/Crash/SU covertape: vote
Rasputin Mad Mix Rex Now, i prefer Mad Mix (and Rex for that matter) as full titles over Rasputin, but Rasputin was the only demo i ever played that made me actually BUY, YES BUY, the full game. I was upset when i found the controls insanely hard to get to grips with and barely got anywhere in the g...

Re: Most iconic ZX Spectrum game characters?
An iconic Spectrum character for me is one that never (officially at least) appeared on the commode 64. Jetman fits that criteria. Lol - and he's not even on my lego pic! He was on there for a while, but he was dropped in a restructure, made redundant if you will... He got a good severance package ...

Re: Iconic Character Sprites
Well here we are... Its up on the wall, i went with the orange corners and stripe into the border. I'm absolutely lovin' it. Still waiting on 4 little corner bricks to come, easily fitted in place. Essentially, project complete! https://i.ibb.co/R9RxrbL/IMG-4847.jpg https://i.ibb.co/3BQ7GRm/IMG-4850...

Re: Iconic Character Sprites
Quick update. The integral part for the border arrived a couple of days back and i completed the frame last night. I'm still waiting for a 1x2x1 corner piece to arrive (4 needed, one for each corner), but these didn't stop me making the frame. I can fit them in last. If my lads at home tomorrow i'm ...

Colin, Thank you thank you thank you for Frank N Stein and this sequel Dr Acula. I've not had time to play Dr Acula as yet, but i'm sure its awesome... It's so nice to be able to offer a little "thanks" to the guys that created these games all those years ago. Frank N Stein was a big part ...

And the picture is done! (bar the border) https://i.ibb.co/jLs1yn6/Img-4844.jpg 8BitDo controller for scale :) If you'll indulge me, my next post will be when the border is fully done and the whole piece is up on the wall. With only a couple of pieces left to come, hopefully midweek next week, this ...

Re: Iconic Character Sprites
With a 4 day weekend, this sucker (at least the picture part) is getting finished... Cracking on with it this afternoon. New kitchen sink tap was fitted this morning, putting a poster frame up for the lad in a few mins, then its lego time for the rest of the day. Will it be done today? Maybe. In oth...

Although i didn't get far in it, i loved Mindfighter. Had a big box copy of that with the book for many years. Don't recall what happened to it, probably sold it on ebay. Wish i still had it.

Starquake, Wizards Lair and Firelord. His list may be short, but these are 3 of the finest games to ever grace the Speccy.
Starquake is insanely good.
