Re: eLeMeNt ZX New Computer / Motherboard Replacement
Hello all, I have updated all programs for wifi module I have been working on. The biggest news is that now they all work with wifi module fitted inside eLeMeNt ZX also (previously they worked with MB03+ wifi module only). You can even have both wifi modules fitted in MB03+ and eLeMeNt ZX- all will ...

Re: eLeMeNt ZX New Computer / Motherboard Replacement
Dears,
I have made another video, this time showing eLeMeNt ZX core update directly from eLeMeNt ZX (meaning not from PC). I used SARAH client for update process at the same time. There is download speed record of 73 kb/sec in the video too.

Re: Saboteur 2 mod
Generally, you are right, of course, about hating the ceaselessly repeating music. How about adding music mutting key into your mod? I am quite aware of this, so I added keypress 1 as toggle, which switches either FXs, or music, or mutes the chip completely. Nice feature for those playing a game for...

Re: Saboteur 2 mod
Hi Thealfest, very good you sped it up. I already saw some sped up version of Saboteur 2 from ex Soviet authors. But, the problem with sped up is that also time seems to be sped up. Would you want to make option to leave time flow original, while game mechanics is sped up? Well, think about it. If t...

Re: eLeMeNt ZX New Computer / Motherboard Replacement
Dears, speaking about Wifi in the last post from SamC, if you would like to set your Wifi module in your eLeMeNt ZX (like connect to AP, set RTC, run terminal...) use Wifi Setup 1.4 for eLeMeNt ZX. Download here: https://zxfiles.net/zxmb03.php#wifi . More info about Wifi Setup here: https://hood.spe...

Re: ZX FTP client- works in progress
Dear ZX friends, the time has come, and the SARAH project, i.e. its first part has come to an end. SARAH actually refers to two things. 1) it is an FTP client running on ZX Spectrum, 2) it is a sorted FTP server/archive of games and educational programs, of which you can find approx. 8,700 pcs. Plus...

The Great Giana Sisters on ZX Spectrum?
Dears, the game "The Great Giana Sisters" exists on almost all major 8 bit computers excluding our beloved ZXS. Since there has been quite many old games restored, fixed, dug up from the past, could the same happen to "The Great Gianna Sisters"? ZX magazines mention beta versions...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Running a 3rd party monitor is complicated by the fact the browser's NMI handler copies various bits of memory into the MMC banks and overwrites normal RAM with the browser code which then overwrites more bits to use for it's stack and buffers. These get restored when you exit the browser. If you w...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
It's on my list of things to do. I can access the register block supplied from the esxDOS NMI handler to show the state of the registers. This is the same format as the header for a .SNA snapshot file so contains all the registers you'd probably want to see. It may be possible to modify the content...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Dear Bob, your work is really perfect. Maybe the only thing I am missing is some debugger in your nmi menu. A debugger that would show registers, Interrupt mode and DI/EI state in th emoment the nmi button was pressed. This would help debugging programs on real HW a great deal. Years ago I applied i...

Dear ZX Spectrum fans of SID chip music. Recently, I added SID sound support to a second game, it is Master Of Magic. So now it's time for official release of the game. 1) could you try to rework it for KMouse also?
2) could you try to rework it for standart ZX ROM, not 128 ROM only?
Many thanks

Re: ZX FTP client- works in progress
I think,at the moment adding WiFi module to eLeMeNt ZX is not planned. But this would rather be a question to its author. BSDOS could run on Element, but we would need new SD card driver (similar case as with Esxdos running on DivMmc). This would require writing new driver instead of IDE driver, that ...
