Re: Guess the screen$
No and no.
These aren't sprites but rather background detail that doesn't move.
I just checked the reviews and while none of the big three seemed to have reviewed it originally I feel like it's a reasonably well known game. A budget one btw.

Re: DenOfGeek : The games that defined the Spectrum
A pretty safe list. It's about defining rather than what's best. I mean, Knight Lore is a garbage game but it speaks to a genre that the Speccy led in for a while.

Re: ZXDS 2.2.2 and 1.4.1
Sorry, this is on the 3DS. It looks like a combination of factors. 1 - it didn't like my .z80s. Now I don't think there's anything weird about them. They are the ones named like this Bomb Jack (1986)(Elite Systems).z80 which you see everywhere. I also tried renaming them. 2 - maybe there's some degr...

Re: ZXDS 2.2.2 and 1.4.1
I tried a new z80 file and it worked. Very odd. It's as if they got corrupted going over. I deleted them but they still show in the menu on ZXDS, like it still sees them. Can I force refresh that menu?

Re: ZXDS 2.2.2 and 1.4.1
yep, they are just regular .z80 files. I'll try to grab one from elsewhere and will let you know if it works.
I assume it's still just 'IO' and 'Load File' to load .z80s?

Re: ZXDS 2.2.2 and 1.4.1
I've got this set up and it is great but it won't load up any of my z80 files (it crashes all of them) but the online ROM finder works great.

Re: Guess the screen$
No idea. I thought it might have been a terrible looking Gauntlet clone but beyond that I'm stumped.

1. Gilligan's Gold
2. Missile Defence
3. Commando
I played Gilligan's Gold a lot. Not sure it was good though. It was bastardy hard.
I picked MD second hoping it was the version I used to play. I think it was.
Commando was a good conversion but very repetitive.

Re: Riding motorcycle through the forest
It may be sacrilegious around these parts to admit it, but I've never seen the appeal of Deathchase. You just accelerate to full speed, hold down fire, then dodge the trees until one of your bullets hits a target, which eventually it will. Once you get over the amazement of 3D tress whizzing past i...
