Re: Machine Code Extensions for Spectrum BASIC
After much scanner wrangling (and a wee holiday) I've finally pulled all this together. I've linked a pdf (created from an online tool - 10MB) and the original scanner sources - 1.6GB. I've also uploaded it for processing into the archive. PDF: https://mega.nz/file/Ml1E0CBB#zHfMPswXBIpba5Doecycpp89V...

Here's the contents page, and the rear cover.

I'll have a fiddle with my scanner settings, see if there's anything I can do about the distortions around the spine and save as a PDF (correctly rotated!)
Might take me a while to get it done but I'll plod along.

Re: Machine Code Extensions for Spectrum BASIC
I have this book, in fact I've just checked the cover photo and realised that it was me that uploaded it to WoS years ago. It's a very good book which includes a complete framework to implement your own extended BASIC commands through error trapping if I remember correctly, and is complete with many...

Re: Fuse 1.5.3 released
@stefrobb which Antivirus are you using? I know it's not the best, but I just use Microsoft Defender. I'm lucky enough to have an actual Soectranet and did have to open the appropriate ports on my BT router when I used that. I'm using MS Security Essentials, but I don't really think it's that. I re...

Re: Fuse 1.5.3 released
Yeah, I'd looked through the source and seen on Sourceforge help that there was an issue with the firewall and Spectranet emulation. I've already added an exception in Windows 7 Firewall, and even turned it off completely but it doesn't make any difference. I've fiddled with so many things on this c...

Re: Fuse 1.5.3 released
I've never been able to get Fuse to work, I always get the error "Networking: failed to test internal communications" followed by a C++ runtime crash. Not even sure if it's a Fuse error, but I never get it with anything else. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with E: discussion
I'd like to put forward Elevator Action for consideration for this poll. It 's a fun arcade conversion that has a really good tune on it and has you offing enemy agents and ducking into red doors to retrieve secret plans. Ride the elevators to change floors, and later escalators. Shoot out lights, ...

Re: Cannot edit older posts.
Over time the amount of users will increase, and people are people so inevitably there will be some sort of a personality conflict/intellectual disagreement over something or other and it will result in on or more parties getting butthurt/trying to prove a point and either retroactively editing a b...
