Re: Pacman RX WIP

it's funny you should mention Galaxian - it's certainly something I've considered, because even though the official conversion is pretty good, it could be a bit smoother and faster, especially if it has AY sound effects. That being said, I have a pretty long 'to do' list, so it probably won't be fo...

I wonder what you’ll turn your attention to next? I’d love to see an arcade perfect version of Galaxians.
Well, it wouldn't be arcade perfect if it was called "Galaxians"

Re: Manic Miner: The Lost Levels

(It might be an idea to rename the first version "The Missing Levels" or something to distinguish them and avoid confusion, because at the moment people don't seem to be noticing that the DS version exists, which is a real shame.)

Re: Manic Miner: The Lost Levels

There are actually two different "Lost Levels" games at the link - you all seem to be playing the first version, which is the good but inferior one that's just a big grab bag of Oric and Game Boy Advance levels. The second version is actually a proper recreation of the Nintendo DS Lost Lev...

Mister Kung-Fu alternate music

Just noticed something odd - the iOS version of the brilliant Speccy arcade port has different music.

It sounds like it's been rejigged to avoid copyright issues but I kinda like it. Might we see a Speccy release of this version as a little curio?

True. But if you manage to modify link address (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~jg27paw4/type-ins/sincprog/sp8301-02_005.zip) by typing "sp830102.zip" for file name on your browser, it downloads correctly. So the same happens with other broken links, like the one to get "Spe...

So that must mean getting all 4 ghosts on every power pill, and collecting the bonuses. That's impressive - are you using tactics that you see in vids like these ? You should have a proper attempt (where you don't stop) to give us all something to aim at. No, I don't have any patterns memorised or ...

Already typed and checked this Pac-Man clone for the ZX Spectrum, from the magazine Sinclair Programs issue 6 of March 1983 by Duncan Anderson. Not preserved here, yet. In few seconds, I've uploaded it to ZXDB. 1-min later... I've just realised it was uploaded at Jim Grimwood's site... :mrgr...

Re: Speccy golf - a good computer spoiled

Golf on the gameboy is so, so good. I play it still, on a little Gameboy pocket. The game is so tight. It has 2 courses, but do you need more? The gameplay has some depth and load or reply value. I would love to see a version for the spectrum, but how would the graphics work? I just can't get my he...

Hi guys The feeling was always that we didn't want to sell these updated versions of what were originally free games for profit. Nevertheless they do have value so the plan is to release the Midnight Brew Digital collection for 2023 for charity, which is also what we did last year. I'm in the proce...
