Re: Pride Month is here. Show me LGBTQ+-themed ZX Spectrum games!
Rocky Horror Show is the only one that comes to my mind. But anyway it was straightened up. I mean: dr. Frankfurter is a Dracula-like character, and the eponym Rocky Horror is absent. Sometimes the main characters are naked, but that's more weird than sexual. For the rest, it's even hard to find a g...

Re: Eco-themed games
They were just trifling little A-bombs. The H-bomb is up to 1000 times more energetic/destructive. Having said that - plenty of H-bombs have been dropped, too. Just not in anger in densely populated areas. Yes by "drop the bomb" I meant "thermonuclear global war" and its subsequ...

Re: Eco-themed games
I see a little bit confusion, so I think a bit of clarification is needed. In my (humble) opinion, an eco-themed game is something that features a contemporary, non fictional, environmental problem, like pollution, animal welfare, global warming, etc. So a post-nuke scenario isn't eligible (well... ...

Eco-themed games
Some time ago I was reviewing James Pond (1990) and I stated that it was one of the first games that had some kind of environmental theme. We discussed a bit, on Mastodon, but no one could remember a game pre-1990 that had such theme. So I'm asking also here! Do you know some game that featured, I d...

Re: Robotix interface
I found something. https://archive.org/details/your-computer-magazine-1986-01/page/n67/mode/2up It seems that an interface for the BBC Micro was available in 1986. I don't have time to read the whole article right now, but from the images it seems something that you have to build with solder and a f...

Robotix interface
I was browsing at random some magazines when I spotted this: https://i.postimg.cc/mcvVctFG/photo-2024-05-23-21-49-38.jpg (from https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/magazine/106/Jackson_Soft_Oro_Spectrum ) In May 1985 it was announced an interface for the ZX Spectrum that can control Robotix's motor joint...

More love for Comando Tracer please, one of the few Spectrum games that I've been able to complete in my life.
Also, it has pretty good bidirectional scrolling.

Re: Games you played the most with friends?
Oh yeah, the three of us played Rampage a lot, too! :-) Terrific fun! Rampage was the perfect three-gamers. Played a lot on the Spectrum, on the Amiga and even the arcade. On the Amiga I used to play with two friends of mine. One of them unfortunately died in a car crash a few years later, he was 1...

OK, it's not set in a "corridor" but in my opinion Sky Ranger has some FPS vibes.

Alo Bao! One of the best obscure games from Italy!
Every time I played with my friends, we had some races, despite the flickering and the overall simpleness of the game.

Re: MIA Preview Episode 7 (ADMINS IMPORTANT PLEASE READ)
IMHO a tag "unofficial release by Nuova Newel" should be enough, like the way the cracked games by Load'n'Run are treated. They are no more than bootlegs anyway, and they add very little (sometimes they miss parts, instead) to the original game.

Re: MIA Preview Episode 7 (ADMINS IMPORTANT PLEASE READ)
As many (or perhaps all) of Nuova Newel's releases, it's a cracked game, but it wasn't illegal. Back then, copying software was not unlawful, as copyrights on software weren't claimable. Some authors tried to print the source code and tried to put the rights on the text, as it was a book, but I thin...
