Re: Games you played the most with friends?

Alo Bao! One of the best obscure games from Italy!
Every time I played with my friends, we had some races, despite the flickering and the overall simpleness of the game.

What about Micronaut One? It's not very far from Descent.

R-Tape wrote: Mon May 06, 2024 8:38 am So it sounds like it's an unofficial re-release, that was technically legal in Italy?
AFAIK, before 1992 it wasn't legal but not illegal too. In other words: no one cared.

Re: MIA Preview Episode 7 (ADMINS IMPORTANT PLEASE READ)

IMHO a tag "unofficial release by Nuova Newel" should be enough, like the way the cracked games by Load'n'Run are treated. They are no more than bootlegs anyway, and they add very little (sometimes they miss parts, instead) to the original game.

Re: MIA Preview Episode 7 (ADMINS IMPORTANT PLEASE READ)

As many (or perhaps all) of Nuova Newel's releases, it's a cracked game, but it wasn't illegal. Back then, copying software was not unlawful, as copyrights on software weren't claimable. Some authors tried to print the source code and tried to put the rights on the text, as it was a book, but I thin...

Re: The best playable demo of a MIA game on a YS/Crash/SU covertape: vote

You did! You see, the only traces of Circus Circus are on Sinclair User's Megatape 11, which had Beach Head and Beach Head 2 on side A, while side B had two demos of Circus Circus, followed by Poke City. The first demo was a rolling one - totally unplayable, just a slideshow of static screenshots. ...

Re: HELP WANTED: Magazine type-in page numbers!

I did Fuochi nella notte but then I stopped because I wanted to see how the game is, so I lost the entire afternoon typing it in (OCR gave a lot of errors).

Re: Cesare The Somnambule

As a big fan of the film, I can't describe what a relief is to see Cesare free of Caligari's influence (albeit in the good ending) I always felt overwhelmed with pity for the unwilling murderer who is, in one of the most widely acknowledged interpretation, the German -but not only- common people man...

Whitby Computers Spectrum Simulator for C64

Today I discovered a thread about the Whitby Computers Spectrum Simulator for the C64. At around 10th message David Tindale, the original author wrote some funny facts about the so called "Spectrum Simulator". I always thought it was just some program that emulated CIRCLE and other command...

hey, spanish games don't count, nobody can beat The Spanish Inquisition! p.s.: i did Freddy Hadest 1 and Game Over 1 without cheats. but it was accidental. One of the few games that I've been ever able to complete is Comando Tracer. Spanish games weren't harder than the average. I think the bad rep...
