Re: New Database Model ZXDB

Maybe it was mentioned long time ago, but I don't know how to reach to that thread or post. There are some fields in some entries I've been watching from time to time and I'd like to know, for my own curiousity, if they can be filled by any registered user via ZXDB preservation tools, or that's just...

Re: MicroHoppy

Got it and a very nice mini-conversion of Hoppin' Mad. With 10 lines length IvanBasic has done a great work.

Already submitted to ZXDB with basic information. No files added, yet, unless it's free for download (or paying something to his author).

Re: ZX (Spain) magazine type-ins, not available at SC yet

Task finished! I'll take myself some rest of several days.

Next thing, check other magazines with ZX BASIC listings in short from Germany and Italy: Computer Kontakt, Computronic, CPU, Electronic Games (Italy), Happy Computer, HC Mein Heim-Computer, Home Computer (Italy), LIST and finally Paper Soft.

Re: ZX (Spain) magazine type-ins, not available at SC yet

I'm almost finishing and completing my uploads of BASIC type-ins that are left from this Spanish magazine. Only issues from 38 and 40 have still something interesting, while last issue 41 is full of cheat loaders for several classic videogames, most of them specified for Spanish releases. I don't be...

Duplicate entries for Ventamatic educational software called 'Areas'. This and this are almost equal to each other.

I think we can start adding the titles, I was taking a look at the first issue, and all the programs I checked seem original, and some of them have the author name in the code.
Good! ;)

Spanish pressings of Step-by-Step Programming ZX Spectrum books preserved!

Re: ZX (Spain) magazine type-ins, not available at SC yet

After a long time, I will be uploading to ZXDB most of type-ins published in "ZX" magazine (not everything, just better ones of every issue, except existing ones in the archive) in the following days. However, I will have a break for about fifteen days, counting from beginning of March, in...

Phantomas Tales #4: Severin' Sewers 2024 (The Mojon Twins)

Coming from this thread , about one of latest Mojon Twins releases for the Speccy: Phantomas Tales #4 - Severin' Sewers (2024 Edition) When a new version of a previously released videogame has been published, does it need to be uploaded with the rest of items in its same SC entry or would it be done...

New version runs on 48K, by first. Some graphics and colour display have been modified or improved. If in doubt, ask creators at their itch.co site for more info.

Fantastic Mission (Program Soft, 1984)

PRESERVED Not found at SC nor WOS, I thought it would be good to allocate this game here. I've been looking for it first on Quick Search, and also at WOS' Infoseek, but there's no entry made for this release, almost unknown for many. For some reason, in-action screenshot was a bit familiar to me but...

I've noticed, after checking its BASIC listing, there's a routine expecting to load a next program (from line 6000). With this clue, all options are possible.

Golf, by H. Duddy

PRESERVED Is this golf simulator missing-in-action? Or was it commercially released in some form? I think it could be a type-in from any Spectrum book or magazine, but his author couldn't be found with Infoseek or Quick Search. Neither found at The Type Fantastic website. https://i.postimg.cc/qNngzp...

Re: To type or not all programs from the book "20 Best Programs for the ZX Spectrum" by Andrew Hewson

Wow, you are fast! Nice job! Do you type directly into a Spectrum/emulator, or are you using some type of utility to type then upload to an emulator? I'm curious because I'm also on a bit of a type-in mission with Sinclair Programs type-ins. Thank you! :) As 20 programs are quite short in length, I...

I've found out that both games are the same playable demos rescued in 2005 at the same website (btw: not included in Spectrum Computing yet). PC versions are quite new and need each to be placed, once decomprissed, as indicated: - The first is that you don't have to place the directory in a place wh...

More ZX Spectrum games by Slowglass team: Zamonarr II and City Defender

In the last update of Spanish page El Trastero Del Spectrum, Alberto Pérez Torres and Manuel Domínguez Zaragoza (Slowglass), the authors of Cyberbig arcade game (see their softlist here ) sent two games: Zamonarr II and City Defender. Both programs have been released in two forms: for ZX Spectrum an...
