Thanks guys. A daft question (no 998!).
Could you solder wires to the speaker output and patch a cable out to a 3.5mm jack
for connection to who knows where?

Downloading or transferring Speccy music
Another newbie question. How do you export sound from the ZX Spectrum to use in your own youtue videos for example? Maybe want to showcase a game or export your own beep masterpiece. Video sorted - Composite mod to HDMI converter > fed into a USB HDMI standalone recorder. If the HDMI signal has soun...

ZX Spectrum 16K for sale with faults
Hello, got a 16K Spectrum for sale on ebay. MOD done, new keyboard membrane added. Loads tapes, BASIC programs run. Keyboard works fine. Connect to TV fine except >> Problem is I still haven't resolved colour issue. Comes back in shades of grey or slight blue shades. I've mentioned this in the listi...

Re: SAVE/LOAD PROGRAMS using divMMC Future
Thanks for all the extra info guys. I will add all them to my next revision. I want the guide to be a dummies type guide for simple people like me. So these additions will really help. If it gets too technical I might refer further reading to the online resources mentioned: https://esxdos.zxfiles.ne...

Re: SAVE/LOAD PROGRAMS using divMMC Future
Though 'outside the box'. A term I hate from corporate sales indoctrination! Grr! How about just saving BASIC program revisions by incrementing the filename. eg. myprog001, myprog002 etc. then deleting via PC? Seems suitable to me. Still trying to find a suitable solution to printing a BASIC program...

Re: Capturing Spectrum 48k video problem
Thanks Robin.
I've ordered one. They are cheap enough. Presumably just connect Composite out lead of the Spectrum to the yellow input then get HDMI out which I can then feed into the capture card.
Graeme.

Capturing Spectrum 48k video problem
I have Composite Mod ZX Spectrum 48k which works as normal. I want to record the video output. I purchased a second hand capture device which is a standalone box with YPbPr and HDMI inputs. The through-put to a monitor is HDMI. According to the instructions, both type of input will pass the signal t...

SAVE/LOAD PROGRAMS using divMMC Future
Have just bought the divMMC Future with SD Card. I have created a guide on useful comands in ESXDOS to navigate around the file structure on the SD Card. Also the functions to LOAD/SAVE/DELETE your own BASIC program files. I decided to put a guide on here for comment or revision. I have posted all o...

Re: Problem with 48k not loading
Thanks again for the comprehensive reply. I will look at those websites. I regularly scan ebay and auction sites to see if the divMMC is lurking in a box from the pictures. The 48k I am messing with now came from a local auction house which was bundled with a load of other stuff costing £25. Made a ...

Re: Problem with 48k not loading
Thanks for the comprehensive reply. Others too will benefit from your knowledge. I am looking at the divMMC. I only want to get back to programing for myself so don't need to change the file types beyond save/load options. There is suprisingly little in the way of youtube videos showing the save pro...

Thanks for the comprehensive replies. Much appreciated. Reliving my youth. The 001 16k Spectru, arrived. Unfortunately it is a series 2 board. Did video mod. Checked border colors on screen and it was flickering from b&w to colour. It's not b&w only. Changed the membrane (original snapped an...

Re: Standard MOD problem
**** RESOLVED **** - Thanks Patters for the advice. I purservered, like we all do out of frustration, to connect the Speccy to my oldest TV. AND IT WORKS !! Incredible that an old plat screen TV that was donated from a house clearance works perfectly. I can't believe it. See photo. Anyone would thin...

Standard MOD problem
Here we go again! Did a standard RF Mod on 16k Spectrum. Did not use any components, just cut 5v, tucked away, then clipped the resister attached to the jack. Then clipped the video line and bridged that with the jack as per. The mod has worked but this screen below is what I got. The image is sligh...

Thanks for the replies. Will try stereo jack and/or mic input to see if that works. Can do continuity tests with test meter but the oscilliscope is over my head. I'll keep you posted shortly.
