New Scans from my MGT +D box, manual, etc
I don't know if these are of use to anyone, but I took photos of my MGT +D box, product, and scanned the manual at 600DPI as it's a little different to the one on the site. You can see the scans at: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ioFGEzflSeNOdyr_Ec-jFDzDYliIs9EK?usp=sharing I don't really k...

Re: The best Speccy game by US Gold: discussion
Wasn't US Gold set up to republish software from the US? So original titles would be few and far between?

I have a soft spot for Killed Until Dead.
However the Beach Head games, Gauntlet, and Spy Hunter are all ones I have fond memories of.

Re: How to get data off MGT +D disks
Annoyingly I don't have a floppy drive connector on my motherboard (Rog Strix B450-F), or on my ancient laptop that I really keep for legacy things (HP Pavillion dv6700 - only floppy drive option there is via PCMCIA card I believe). I could use a greaseweasel as the +D drive is a plain old Shuggart ...

How to get data off MGT +D disks
Sorry if this isn't the right forum, I was considering how to get data off 3.5 inch floppy disks from the MGT +D system.
I still have the original hardware. I also have a USB floppy drive for my PC.
Thanks,
Louise

Palace Demo 1, Palace Demo 2, and Magnificent Laugh
The above are just demos I found at the end of tapes. I don't believe you have them? If you do I apologise. All 3 wavs can be found in here. The Palace demos need to be loaded in 48k mode. Magnificent laugh can be loaded in 128k if you wish. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1i1pgnTt9S4snEf1P2n...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
Apologies at the consternation with some of the SAM loading errors. I had no way of checking those. The drop out in issue 8 is unrecoverable by azimuth tweaking (I tried for about 30 mins) but I was so conscious of the tapes maybe going wrong given their age and I wanted to get as much of them as po...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
Enigma 8 is now there.
Block 7 - starting 17:20 in the wav has a dropout midway through. Roundabout 18:10-18:20 for a fraction of a second. Unloadable block.
Maybe someone can work some magic

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
I can confirm that most of the WAV of Enigma #1 works as it should, including everything with a turbo-loader. There's a few unlisted programs at the end which are a bit dodgy and may or may not be an intended part of the magazine - there's a block of scrap data between the last listed program and t...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
It's all still a work in progress. I'll post the link, but I'm not posting wavs until I know they load in Fuse. At present 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9 are there. Please recognise that I would rather not have three or four people saying to do things different ways as I am prone to panic attacks caused by work ...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
Issues One through Nine and they're from the authors ESD, so no magazine covermount issues. I've just finished encoding 1 through 4 into wav files - the azimuth tweaking is annoying and the margin for error in the signal of the tapes is small. I've scanned all the paper info I have as well. I'm abou...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
Oh I forgot to add that all the Enigma issues are fastloaders as far as I recall (Issue 1 definitely is, and I see no reason that they would change). Only the instruction sheet for issue 5 and up mention SAM Coupe explicitly and it's also the first issue that no longer mentions the 48K Spectrum. Tha...

Re: Enigma Tape Magazine
Hi all, I'm Louise from the other forum. I've been liaising with TMD2003 (please tell me I typed that right) to sort out the Enigma issues I have into wav files. I've just managed to do the first one and I've scanned a fair amount of Letters/documents from PD things I had of which TMD has the google...
