Re: What are your current ZX Spectrum projects/games that you are working on?

Bringing the hugely detailed isometric PC game “Melkhior’s Mansion” to the humble 128k (See my Twitter/Facebook for more details) Any chance of further updates on your development tutorial blog. I used to really enjoy reading those. Pretty please! I should be resuming those after Melkhior’s is fini...

Re: The best modern Speccy game beginning with H: vote

Horace came third. It's a very decent Horace tribute. Thanks for the vote :) I don’t consider HITMW a tribute though - it’s a conversion to the Speccy of the actual fourth published title in the series, which was produced in the mid-90s for the Psion series 3 palmtop. It was written with the suppor...

If anybody would like to play Horace in the Mystic Woods - the conversion to the Spectrum from the Psion handheld of the 4th official Horace title with the support of the original programmer - it can be downloaded from https://bobs-stuff.itch.io/ for free, or consider a donation if you can afford to.

Bob’s Stuff site links

FAO whoever maintains the database entries... A while ago I moved all my ZX81 and Spectrum titles over to Itch.io, and as a result will likely be shutting down my original website at some point in the future. When that happens the database entries for my games will have broken links. It would be gre...

Re: Gravity

Gravity flips also feature many levels of the second Gem Chaser game https://bobs-stuff.itch.io/gem-chaser-2 It’s not the only mechanic in the game though, as it’s also combined with colour changing, doors, escalators (etc). Take a look at the walkthrough below: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G4Yt2mH...

Re: Atic-Atac Isometric Version

I've been following this on Twitter, with an eye to a possible remake for a 48K Spectrum. As the game is effectively 2D a lot of what slows down other 'fully' 3D isometric games can be dropped (i.e. height). I was developing a 3D engine (spookily under the title of AticAtac 3D) a couple of years ago...
