Papers, Please
I remembered enjoying this on PC when it came out in 2013 and think it would be an excellent game to port/recreate on the speccy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papers,_Please https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUc1uX3cAGk Any reason a lofi (lower fi!) version of this wouldn't be technically feasible? E...

Re: RAM Desoldering Tips
Do you want to keep the chips?
If not, clip the chip off of its legs first, then tweezer out individual legs while holding the iron against fresh solder. Then suck the solder out of the PTH.

Re: DCP Interspec BUS Expansion Adaptor
This is relevant to my interests so I'll be watching this thread with interest. I want to be able to do some simple home automation tasks, log temperatures etc. Does anyone know if there is any hardware documentation for this device? I'd love a circuit diagram to see how they did it. I don't suppose...

My rubberkey setup
As promised in my introduction, I dug out and took photos of my 'unclosable laptop' :D I made it a few years ago out of scraps of 5mm mdf glued and screwed together and sprayed black. This was before 3d printers took off. The screen is a cheap chinese LCD monitor. The card is a PicoDivSD from Zaxon ...

Serial Number Database
Wasn't there someone collating a database on serial numbers, models, ULA date codes etc.? I searched here but couldn't find anything. I came across this website: https://serials.spectrumforeveryone.com/ , but there doesn't seem to be a way of submitting information or contacting anyone, and I don't ...

Re: Introduce yourself!
Hi all, I've been into Speccies ever since my dad brought a big cardboard box home with a rubberkey 48k, cassette player, leads, and a mountain of tapes all thrown in that he'd bought off a neighbour of ours for £30. I was probably around 8 or 9 at the time, and it was the early 90s when all my frie...
