I'd go further and speculate that the author got AI to "write" most of it. The whole thing just seems like a lot of hot air to me.

It's a good game! I find it more fun than Wizard's Lair, which I couldn't get into at all.

This keeps coming up as a promoted ad on Facebook. Wonder if they've got it in red and cyan?

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Steve Crow): discussion

I have a feeling he wrote the actual loader for Uridium as well as designing the screen. Same loader as Firelord (but not used on any other games) and it custom loads all 48K in one block, as do both of his Bubble Bus games. We have Hewson Slowload, so perhaps that's Hewson Crowload. Never got into ...

Re: ZX-Blue Plaques?

By the way, on the subject of postcode changes - these sometimes change for an address. You can have a postcode for years, and then suddenly, the Royal Mail will change it to something else. It's quite rare though, they do everything they can to avoid it. Source? Ah, being a data entry clerk for ma...

Re: ZX-Blue Plaques?

Nice idea Dave, but that would involve moving 100 miles back up north to Kempston. (I'm in Kent, most of you are up north from where I'm sitting) I know this is of no interest to anyone except me and maybe PeteProdge , but I've been digging around some more about Kempston Micro Electronics. The very...

Re: Manic Mission

Very nice, even if I don't have a clue what I'm doing in the Impossible Mission parts.

I've noticed if you go into the menu there's options for a Speccy colour palette system and sprite rendering. I thought the colours looked a bit washed out until then.

Finally completed it (saving between each level, I'm not that good!)

At first the collision detection annoyed me, but I got used to it after a while. Just don't go near anything ever and you'll be fine.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the platform game, not the minigames on the other side) features a beepy rendition of the William Tell Overture.

Only ever played The Light Corridor so can't really give an opinion on the others.

Did you know (adopts nerdy Colin Robinson voice) The Light Corridor contains a tiny sample of Alphabet Street by Prince?

Ah, I keep forgetting I need to extract the zip to get both sides of a tap/tzx, because Spectaculator (android version) just reads the first file in the zip  So I didn't need the z80 after all.

Re: Game of the day...

My first difficulty was getting the z80 to download! Not sure why it didn't work, grabbed it off old skool WoS and then wished I hadn't bothered. I finally got off screen 1 after 23 deaths, so that's an improvement on Abu Simbel, but won't be rushing back to that in a hurry. (The minigames are prett...

Or Snap's Rhythm Is A Dancer, five years later? I'm sure we'd be able to find some old Eurodance tune from before 1987 that uses that bassline, it's pretty common.

Just had a quick go on an emulator. Got to Mutant Telephones without losing a life, then died once there, once on Return of the Kong Beast (fell towards the teleport too early and hit the yellow barrel - schoolboy error!), and a stupid one on Ore Refinery, but then cleared the Skylab Landing Bay wit...

I've got one of those but it was less than £3 off AliExpress, I wouldn't have paid £15 though. Edit: this one , either 84p or £2.25 including shipping, I can't work out their pricing, depends if you're a new customer I suppose.
