Re: ChesSkelet: micro chess program - 363 Bytes

Ello?!

Sorry, seems I’ve been very uncommunicative of late. Been busy with new job and don’t get time to do what I love with speccy things any more. I’m at your service Sir! :)

Re: 3D Chess 2K18

Possibly a feature that could be optional. That’s actually not very difficult to implement, but could be a long process when a lot of moves are possible. Move generation is completely separate to the display and piece building part.

Re: Leigh Thompson Sinclair User

Anything Sinclair related is totally great! I remember seeing C5s tearing around the roadway around the MK bowl back when they were first made, maybe 1986-ish. Always wanted one. I know a chap I went to school with owns one he’s got gathering dust in his garage.

Re: EX (SP),HL

I used it to very good effect in 3D Chess. It’s used in the main routine to swap the screen address in HL with the address in IX that just got PUSHed into the stack.

Re: Arcade-ish Proportional character set

I just encoded a different Character set, which although perhaps looks little taller for some of the characters, is actually smaller in bytes terms. Some aspects I like more, others not so much. The even scruffier appearance is more what I was after in the first place. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/qfdyr...

This is just a PNG snapshot of one of the Underwurlde pages (Don't recall finishing those, but perhaps not too much to complete them too)
