Re: Cant find the program with digitized music?

I don't have the answer, but I'm bumping this topic in hopes of finding out. I'm a fan of digitised stuff on the Speccy, even more when it involves the AY chip.

Easiest way to change AY I/O ports in a game?

Was looking at this list: http://zxspectrum48.i-demo.pl/48K_AY_games.html And then it occurred to me how wonderful it would be if these games could be played on a Timex TS2068 or TC2068 with a Spectrum emulator cartridge. These computers have an internal AY chip but it's mapped to different I/O port...

It's great to see these again! Is the text in the text adventure compressed? If it's not, we could translate it to English. My favorite Spanish text adventure is La Aventura Espacial (for a pair of reasons), but this one looks interesting.

Re: Interface 1 LAN

Always wanted to see this in action! Things I'd like to see one day: -A Battleship-kind game, where each player has his own Spectrum and display -Turn-based games, where each player has his own Spectrum and display -2-player games, where the game runs on one Spectrum and one display, and the second ...

Re: Any way to speed up Automania?

Thank you! Speeding it up on real hardware is what I was hoping for. There are probably dozens of games who were slowed down on purpose, and would benefit from the extra speed.

Any way to speed up Automania?

Automania was one of the first games I enjoyed playing back in 1987, but always thought the game was a bit slow. Turning the music off doesn't really make a difference. Does anyone know if the game was slowed down on purpose? If yes, a few POKEs could do wonders.

I really like the graphics, the loading screen, and the use of colour. Impressive work.

Re: What games are you better at now than you were 30 odd years ago?

Like others in this thread, I'm worse. I don't have the time nor the patience to play my old favorites the way I used to, and don't give newer games a chance. I think this will change once I retire. When I discovered the Spectrum in 1987, all my uncle's games were in "backup" 60 mins tapes. :mrgreen...
