I've settled on zx spin. CPU overclock is a must for playing castlevania through again, seems like it's about to explode at 3.5mhz
also, loving the fact you can create your own overlays for scanlines etc

Re: Various Questions about Fuse
Yeah, I don't see a way of fullscreen myself. Why the simplest thing like this isn't included, I do not know?
I'd use fuse core in retroarch, to get fullscreen, but I can't seem to get the keyboard working at all
I think I'll use ZX spin instead (:

Please could someone tell me how to go fullscreen with Fuse on Windows?
Also, does anyone know how to overclock CPU to 7/14MHz, like with ZX spin?

Re: Best Selling Spectrum Game
I know that Robocop was top of the charts for over a year, but the best-selling Spectrum game ever (and I believe over 1,000,000 copies was claimed at one point)? I seriously doubt that there were enough active Spectrum users buying games by the time it came out. You're underestimating, probably be...

Re: 240p test suite equivalent for zx spectrum
For colors, if you’re on a 128K machine, you can just power it on while holding the BREAK key. This will bring up a color bar test screen all these years of owning this computer, and I never knew about it! Thanks. I don't know the commands to draw a circle and border in +3 basic, but I'll read the ...

Is Kryoflux better than using samdisk with a real +3 disk drive, plugged into the FDD header of a PC?

Re: Double buffering on the Spectrum
Even when I was a kid, I remember playing batman the movie and thinking how no sync on 50hz with all that tearing (at 12.5 or 25 fps, not sure which) was like eye cancer. Especially on the batwing level, I nearly had a seizure
Re: Raspiboy
DSiXL with ZXDS is the ultimate handheld Spectrum combo, outstanding quality of emulation on pixel perfect 256x192 screen resolution, there's nothing better than that. Flash card can be bought legally and if you use it only for ZXDS, which is free, you can be relaxed, Nintendo will not send you to ...

Re: .trd to .dsk
Can you provide links for this russian compilation? But, if you want just a Myth on +3 disk, thats not a problem, here it is: http://spectrum3.esy.es/Juegos/DSK/M/Myth.rar Theres no auto load, so just type CAT and load first file in directory. You have nice collection of +3 dsk games on this web pa...

.trd to .dsk
I've been looking at some of the russian hacks of games, intended for pentagon and scorpion. They are all for larger disks in the .tdr format, with about 10 games on each disk. Is it possible to pull the individual games out of this format and turn them into .dsk images to be copied to a spectrum +3...

Re: Converting .dsk to tap with dsk2tap
It's pretty awesome that they made a save game feature that saves to the disk, but I'm not sure if anyone actually tried this on a real spectrum +3. Because unfortunately, if you load your save, the disk continues to spin until the next save point. This might not matter with an emulator, but with a ...

Re: Converting .dsk to tap with dsk2tap
OMG, I'm so stupid, I wasn't using audacity right. Instead of pressing pause, then pause again, I was pressing play, and it was returning to the beggining of the wav file. It works perfectly. I have castlevania on REAL +3 disk! So chuffed right now :D Thanks for taking the time, I got the same resul...

Converting .dsk to tap with dsk2tap
I am trying to write the Castlevania: Spectral Interlude to a spectrum +3 disk. I have downloaded the .dsk file and converted it to a .tap file with dsk2tap. This program claims to "convert a .DSK image to a .TAP file, which when run on a Spectrum +3 recreates the original disc". The progr...

It is hidden away in the Amstad CPC section. https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/30457 Ask Zaxon for more info. Thanks. Are you absolutely sure that a .dsk file can be ...

Questions about DivMMC future, or similar devices
I would just like to ask, if it's possible to use a device like this, with a ZX Spectrum +3, to be able to put .dsk files on the SD card, then write them to actual 3-inch floppy disks that are in the +3's disk drive? If it's not, what is the best/easiest way of doing this? Do you have to plug a 3 in...

Copying tape to disk
I have a spectrum +3 with quite a few floppy disks. I was wanting to copy from tape to disk and have been following this guide: http://www.thespectrumshow.co.uk/Feature4.aspx https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfI3ACO8SLQ&t=388s However helpful the guide is, it seems to be missing vital information...
