Re: How to detect MCoder II games?
From https://classicadventurer.co.uk/pdf/09-A4.pdf Trevor Toms from Phipps Associates and RamJam Corporation: Two extremely good contributors of adventure games were Mike Farley (The Knight’s Quest, Greedy Gulch) and Tony Barber (Valkyrie 17). Tony was also a dab hand at arcade-style games, but as t...

Something must have gone wrong. I wanted to let you know the full name of the owner of the company back then, as I think that stuff goes online right? He is also one of the authors of that MIA game Carson City, so that can be corrected aswell with his full name :-) Can I give it to you here, or wil...

Hi @Frankie
I have this patch from you, but it is empty, not sure if this is a mistake or the change you did got lost somehow. Can you check?

Re: Treasure Island (Mr. Micro) credits might be wrong
Is there a story why the same company released an almost identical game with a new name? I was intrigued as well, but there is only one interview with the company available, and was before both Willow Pattern and Treasure Island. Based on the dates, Treasure Island was first, and seems that then th...

Which game was the same as Treasure island but releashed with another name and company ? Same graphics and gameplay. I saw it somewhere but I can't find it again. Hi @jpablo
I'm working on your report about Zero Kelvin: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/zxdb/ad ... ub_sql.txt
I see you listed Cesar Astudillo in the role of "code", but I wonder if he was intended to do the music. Is this role correct?
Thanks!

I'm taking a look at other games with Gavin Wade listed, and I think he was added based on the list above (https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=138838#p138838), but looking at the games, what I see is that on many he is not mentioned in the ZX Spectrum version, but in other platfor...

Hi! Perhaps you can submit this info to The Tipshop? https://www.the-tipshop.co.uk/
Since we don't have a specific note or comment for cheats, we rely on their database for that.
Edit:
Also: viewtopic.php?t=9677 ?

Hi! Revisiting this one, the list of magazines are here: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/magazine/426/LIST
I think we can start adding the titles, I was taking a look at the first issue, and all the programs I checked seem original, and some of them have the author name in the code.

Some time ago I used an utility called Omniflop for DOS, the author was kind enough to add the format, and I think it keeps working in the new Windows version.

I was also testing it (Windows 10) and looks really nice, really surprised how good the beeper emulation is at this stage. Besides things mentioned above, I also found that loading a zip file, sometimes misses the first block.

Re: In game beeper music
It's complex but necessary to set the limits; if we include 'Jack The Nipper II' , it opens the door for other games with similar characteristics, like 'Cobra'. Yes, I agree, but we can handle that as we discover more. For now, I'm adding everything that plays a tune in-game for more than a second,...

In dynamite dan 2 it happens too. I remember that when you take the vinyl to the jukebox, a melody plays. And picking some objects too. Dynamite Dan games case is easier to justify, because they have many and recognizable melodies (I added them to the list). In Jack the Nipper II is more tricky, be...
