Re: Atic-Atac Isometric Version

Got it. You can have this for nothing:

Bedroom Bellicosity.

(You could go with Bedroom Bellicosity 3D, but it loses some of its power.)

Re: Atic-Atac Isometric Version

Great news; pleasantly surprised. So, no changes to the gameplay, content and graphics required other than coming up with a ridiculously badly punned title. I'm afraid this one is already half taken. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/SCRtoImage.php?SCR=/zxdb/sinclair/entries/0031373/0031373-run-1.scr

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with S: vote

Also, the way it was developed is pretty insane as well. Fixed. I'm referring to David writing the machine code on paper and Helen inputting it, but yep—it's still impressive  It's interesting that the graphics were done by a friend with a background in graphic design, but no familiarity w...

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with S: vote

Another fine list, replete with classics. These stand out to me: Stormlord Spellbound Starquake Splat Sir Lancelot Shinobi Sabre Wulf And especially Saboteur . I spent ages playing this BITD, largely because they shunned the usual tradition of making it impossibly difficult from the off. That said, ...

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with S: vote

This is a tricky one. There are a lot of very good games in the list, and you could spend ages agonising over the vote. If any of you are finding it difficult to decide, my advice would be just to go on the shininess of the inlay. It's great innit. There can't be many games that manage to make the ...

Well spotted Juan. It's nice to see the archive being used.

These have been logged ready for the next update. It's going to be a biggy!

EDIT: why the hell were you looking at Howard the Duck?!!

Re: Sinclair A-Bike

I tried to use the A-Bike on a proper 2 mile commute yesterday: fell off once, nearly fell off thrice. It's properly unsafe.

Still, it fits nicely in the racking on the train.

Re: Spectrum memes

Awww, come on. Salamander wasn't the greatest conversion ever, but when you played the Spectrum versions of Double Dragon, ESWAT, Jail Break, Guerrilla War or (God have mercy upon us all) Track 'n' Field ... Aye fair enough. It's not bad enough to deserve being singled out (other than for ribbing C...

Fired up my Vega not plus. It's perfect for a feet up, lazy play of the games that suit it, the less keys the better. Albatrossity: great golf inspired puzzle platform game Coracle: an unusual shmup that went under the radar Dominator: atmospheric shooter, inventive beeper use, captures the oppressi...
