Oh, thank you! That's exactly what I was suspecting, so I guess I'll quit Spectaculator and download ZXSpin instead! :)

Hi Dr beep, thank you again for this new brilliant piece of software of yours! Astonishing achievement, superb coding skills!!! You are always full of nice surprises!!! Well, one question: I have downloaded and tested the 1.12 version, plays nicely and the software included loads fine! But how about...

Re: Writing .DSK diskimages to real 3'' Floppies on the +3

HI, I am very inexperienced at programming and have been unable to transfer .DSK files to real 3" floppies. My setup is a Plus 3 with standard 3" floppy and an Amstrad FD-1 with a gotek fitted. I have a jumper to short pins 11 and 12 so i can boot from the FD-1 and play .DSK games and I r...

TS 2068 dual ROM question

I have a Timex Sinclair 2068 but never tried to load some software on it... I was looking for an original Spectrum ROM cartridge to play some Speccy classics with it, but these carts have become impossible to come by... I know that I could use some DIY option of bare PCB with EPROM into the cartridg...

Re: What does LERM stand for?

As a 12-years old kid back in 1985 here in Greece, I came across a pirated copy (yes, of the copier program itself) which had a handwritten indication "LERM TC" on the cassette label and I was wondering what TC stands for!!!

Wow!!! Quite impressive, thumbs up! 8-) I only don't like the music, even though it sounds well from a technical point of view, I'd say that I find the melody a little annoying and not matching to this particular game's atmosphere... It could add a nice touch to e.g. a modern demo, this game IMHO ne...

Keyboard for life!!! :geek: My first (1985) own computer was a Spectrum+ and I remember playing arcade games with extreme accuracy using the keys, way better than any joystick. I surely had joystick experience from schoolmates with Atari or Commodore and I liked it on such systems, but for me playin...

I have a dead one If it's dead like switches on but black screen, just try replacing (piggyback first almost always work, to avoid pointless desoldering) a couple of 4164 (or both 4464 if it's a 64C/G) and you will have an alive one! ;) Same for garbled/out of memory screen. Yes, I do own some 3-4 of them and two 128's. They simply rock, as spectums do, but in different ways. All of them are fabulous machines, I love them equally both, commies and speccies! These computers almost had a SOUL and surely their own PERSONALITY, they weren't just pieces of cheap electronic j...

Killed Until Dead - that's a really good one, very high reviews by all magazines. I enjoyed it at the time when I played it - the characters have great animated expressions when they start panicking when you question them. A lot of the game is about being in the right place at the right time to eav...
