Re: When tapes fail due to age

About a decade ago when testing takes from my collection, I found that the cassettes used by Elite, modern Durell (yes yes Elite) and Domark had the most frequent fails on their later releases. That is all I can remember from my totally in-depth analysis.
Happy to help!
Cheers!

My KS2 arrived this morning. Completely missed the email saying it was out for delivery so it was a very nice surprise when it turned up.

Woah WOAH WOAH! Emlyn Hughes International Soccer was the definitive football game on the ZX Spectrum . A truly wonderful footy game. Match Day II was the top of the league until this game along. No other ZX Specturm football game was ever loaded up again after this release. Ocean's Adidas Champions...

The book Computer Programming 1, 2, 3!
Has Original Publisher as IrataHack and, well, I doubt that is the case.
Checking the PDF itself, it's got "Publishers • GROSSET S’ DUNLAP • New York"

Re: Klass of '99 & Lethargy: The Apathetic Dream

I was going to be doing converting some of the PC original graphics for the Speccy version but I honestly can’t remember how they never got done. I wasn’t familiar at all of the PC version at the time. In a strange twist of fate, I now make games with the original PC author. At one point we even dis...

Re: Chain Reaction - Durrell or Elite as publisher?

I suppose an equivalent could be Virgin Mastertronic. You've got the likes of Dan Dare 3 and Golden Axe released under the Virgin Games label and, say, Psycho Hopper released under the Mastertronic Plus label. While technically the same, at no point would I expect to see Psycho Hopper listed next to...

Just as an aside, I’m intrigued by this also known as “Critical Mass 2” for Chain Reaction, which is something I’ve never heard of until this morning. Had this ever been confirmed? I can’t see any mention of Critical Mass in any Chain Reaction adverts or documents, there seems to be no link in the p...
