Re: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine 2017

Dear Sir/Madman, After an invigorating sojourn to John Menzies in the high street, and buying a copy of Christmas Crapmas for £14.99, I am severely displeased to discover that the rigorously challenging first level was followed by a literally impossible second. There is a white enemy at the bottom ...

Re: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine 2017

Gave the magazine a good read and tried out the games and demos last night. Great editorial content and some really terrific quality games. Thanks for producing this again this year.

Re: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine 2017

Perhaps I should build a none-snazzy version of Crapmas? Such a shame, it's such a cool turbo loader! I should have tested it myself on SpecEmu, sorry about that! Edit: It appears to load fine in Fuse with all the trimmings enabled and just tried it on Spectaculator and it loads in real time mode bu...

Re: 128k paging BASIC loader

Can you compress as much as possible, load it in to whatever standard banks are paged in by default and then splurge it all over the other banks once you're in your program? That's what I did. I recognise if all your data you're loading in won't fit at once then it won't work.

Re: Submissions wanted: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine

R-Tape sorted my problem out. It was of the user variety, not a problem with the CGD. A bad workman, eh?

Re: Submissions wanted: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine

I started to create something in the CGD, but I mistakenly used CGD 1.0. Is there a known bug that was poke fixed in that version for sprites that go missing once placed on the map? i.e, they don't appear at all!

Re: Staring at screens...

Sounds like you're living the dream! I sit in front of a computer screen from 9-6 at work, then again a couple of hours in the evening, sometimes longer depending on what I happen to be doing at that time. It is is hard to switch off at night sometimes, especially if I am enjoying programming Specci...

Re: Poll: Manic Miner vs Jet Set Willy

I've spent more time playing JSW as I love exploring the mansion but Manic Miner is the better game. One thing I don't understand is why Eugene's Lair is feared by so many. It's one of the easier screens!
