Re: ZX Microdrive replica!
I think it's pretty doable as it has lots of room inside!
Actually currently I am working on an improved version of the Spectrum replica to sell online for Raspberry hobbyists looking for a nice retro case!

Re: ZX Microdrive replica!
Very nice indeed! You're a model maker aren't you? I mean as a general hobby, trains, planes, something similar I would guess? I am one myself and from the level of skill you demonstrate, its obvious that you've done quite a lot of this before. If not then you ought to take it up as a hobby! Yeah, ...

Microdigital TK-85 replica!
This computer have a special meaning for me because it was the VERY FIRST computer I owned in my whole life and represents the beginning of everything. For whose don't know it is the version of the Timex Sinclair 1500 that was commercialized in Brasil in the 1980s by a domestic company called Microd...

Timex Sinclair 2048 replica!
One more replica for my collection... In fact I never intended to make a replica of the 2048 and it just "happened". How's that? Well, I had just started to make my TS-2068 replica putting together some MDF pieces that I with my jigsaw when I decided that I wanted something more "elab...

ZX Microdrive replica!
I couldn't make a Spectrum replica and do not give to it his buddy ZX Microdrive. I remember when I had my TS-2068 that I considered the microdrives the most exciting peripherals for those computers, not only because they were cute but also because it was a chance of get rid of cassette tapes (well ...

ZX Spectrum replica!
Some time ago I made a replica of the Timex Sinclair 2068 — one of the most memorable computers I had the chance to own — and I got so happy with the result that I decided that it was time to give to him some companion. So I made a replica of this old gem to hang at the wall of my office right aside...

Re: Windows toolkit for Spectrum Assembly?
...Just joking - good luck with the development of your game. :) I started learning assembly with ZX Spin as it's a low barrier to getting started, but if you're an experienced developer proficient in other languages you'll be at home and probably prefer the other tools and combinations suggested. ...

Re: Windows toolkit for Spectrum Assembly?
The first big wall you are going to bump into almost instantly is organisation of ZX Spectrum display screen in memory. If you hope that it's just byte after byte, line after line then you may be quite negatively surprised ;) If I am not mixing things up, I remember to have read somewhere that the ...

Re: Windows toolkit for Spectrum Assembly?
I would avoid the ZX Spin Z80 Assembly editor if I were you, it is buggy and sometimes cannot assemble standard Z80 code properly. I write the code with Notepad++ and then assemble it with Pasmo (version 0.5.4.beta2; 0.6.0 is an experimental version and it can also give you troubles) with the aid o...

If I am going to code in Assembly for the Spectrum 48, what would be the starter kit for Windows? Thanks!

Re: Timex Sinclair 2068 measurements (length x width)?
In the last two days I worked some on the top side of the case and now I am starting the bottom side. I am building it in 3mm MDF and is getting cool. I am very excited with this project and am sure that it will fulfill my expectations! Very soon I will post some pictures! Cheers!

Re: Timex Sinclair 2068 measurements (length x width)?
perhaps I can take some photographs and annotate the sizes there No need to do that... Having the overall length, width and height I can figure the rest making some calculations and using the pictures I picked online. You have done exactly what I needed, my friend, and I appreciate your kindness! :)

Re: Timex Sinclair 2068 measurements (length x width)?
Thanks for the confirmation, Druellan! Also I checked that advertisement and it's not that expensive. Converting $1500 Argentin pesos would be something like USD 35. I would happily pay this price for that computer even needing repairs! The problem is that I created an account and signed i...

Re: Timex Sinclair 2068 measurements (length x width)?
@Einar Saukas is from your part of the world and will hopefully be able to help. @Peter, I will keep it in mind. Thanks. You know they are pretty common on Ebay USA right? There are a few on there now. I've got a couple of TS2068s so if no one else posts before I get chance to measure it I can meas...

Timex Sinclair 2068 measurements (length x width)?
Hey all! I am a Brazilian Sinclair enthusiast and since I grew up in the 1980s I for sure had some of those gems. One of my favorite computers of all times was a Timex Sinclair 2068 that I owned around 1984. Now, over 30 years later I am revisiting some old memories and then I am engaged on an odd p...
