Re: The inevitable worst game ever thread
There are hundreds of dreadful games on the Speccy. For me, Dick Tracy is the winner. Shameful programming and atrocious gameplay but it was a licensed product with money behind it. I see this was the programmer's only Spectrum game. Good. You'd get better value with a faulty Cascade 50 tape that th...

Re: Joe Blade
Joe Blade 2 was my introduction to the series. It looked good but was a bit simplistic... you're in a city overrun with thugs but none of them could harm you. In fact you could only die if you tried to save the old farts wandering about and messed up the subgame. Saying that I quite like it. I can u...

Re: ZX Spectrum Next
I backed it with a few mins to go. Wasn't going to but I got caught up in the wave of optimism and excitement that surrounded the Kickstarter, especially towards the end. I went for Accelerated option for some reason. I noticed someone had backed out and there was 1 version left where you could get ...

But, we know how Chase HQ turned out when it used the OutRun engine (Chase HQ 2).

Re: Disappointing coin-op conversions
I quite liked Double Dragon back in the day playing with another player. Might not have been Target Renegade quality but it was the best beat em up I'd played up to that point. Whereas I completed DD3 first go which is a minor miracle as I'm generally dreadful at such games. Pitfighter was atrocious...

Re: Introduce yourself!
It depends if you went through the running naked through the street with a rubber keyboard Spectrum strapped to your back ritual all latecomers from 2010 had to go through. We can't talk unless you did.

Re: The first game you bought
I'm not sure what the first game I bought was, but I recall for one of my birthday's, or possibly Christmas I got BMX Simulator and Fighting Warrior. Those were the first two games that were mine as opposed to mine and my brother's. After that I was allowed the occasional £1.99 or £2.99 title. I beg...

Re: Introduce yourself!
I'm Collieuk and I mostly talk irrelevant bollocks about the ZX Spectrum on YouTube and Twitter, and occasionally to people in my day to day life too if I can stop them running away first. I still harbour a grudge to those who owned C64's as a child, even after all these years.
