Re: ZX Limericks

Yesterday I had some sudden inspiration for more silly limericks, sorry! There was a young man from Dumfries Who had problems using cursor keys He said, "6789 To me are just fine I can move things with these keys with ease." A train faring fellow called Malc Typed railway times into Vu-Calc And for ...

Re: ZX Limericks

A Jet Set Willier from near Hickstead Didn't believe the Attic bug existed He's tried for 34 years And come close to tears "I'll complete it one day," he insisted. There's a legendary game, Mire Mare By a company now known as Rare Or is it "Mirry Marey"? We don't know, 'cos so far we Haven't seen en...

A Scotsman by the name of McJames Used his sporran to store Spectrum games Joysticks and mags And a packet of fags So he'd have some...

Re: Golf games

I combined the excitement of golf with the thrills of a text adventure for a CGC 2016 entry: https://sites.google.com/site/csscgc2016/home/the-games/textgolfpro When a player hits the ball, it's random as to whether the ball lands on the green or the club misses entirely, which is close to my real l...

Re: April 23rd Spectrum Computing minigame/zx stuff competition/thing

Sounds good, I don't think I've ever celebrated the Spectrum's birthday. "Honor" is a girl's name (e.g. Honor Blackman), "Kudos" could be some villain or alien or fictional Operating System or magic goblin or something

Re: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine 2017

After some feedback, I made some changes to my Xmas puddings game... the keys are less sensitive now and I've made it possible to remove the in-game tips: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m84p3mqu4tzk4qw/ChristmasPuddingsAttack_v1.1.tap?dl=0 I'm not sure if it's still "Christmas" or not now at time of writ...

Re: Submissions wanted: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine

I've sent a link to you in a private message. Or at least I thought I had - it's in my "Outbox" but not in my "Sent items" so I'm not sure what's going on!

Re: Best (Homebrew) game from 2015

Strange Kitchen shouldn't really be on this list, it was released in 2016. I did release a "Beta" version in 2015 to show what I'd done with Charade though, but it wasn't responsive enough to play properly and I didn't "officially" release it as such. And what's wrong with Word Blaster eh?! That's a...

Re: Submissions wanted: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine

Thank god for INK 4, xmas games would be f**ked on the Speccy otherwise! Looks great, hope you finish it. I'm predictably going slower than expected so it could be a week or so extra. Yes, INKS 4 and 2 are great for Christmas games, BRIGHT too if we're feeling a bit FLASH! BTW, the above link for W...

Re: Submissions wanted: Woot! ZXMAS Tape Magazine

I'm "working" on a Boriel-ZXBasic shoot em up mini game for the Woot! ZXMas tape, here's a little preview of some of the dangerous Brussels sprouts that you might encounter!Image
