It looks (and sounds) great and Pacman Begins is my favourite new Spectrum game so far this year.
I can't help wondering how you feel about Track N Field or Pole Position!

Re: Thrust 2 loading
I think they got the idea for the bleeploader from the way the BBC Micro loads tape programs - the advantage was that if you had an original cassette with a program recorded on both sides of the tape, but the tape had a "drop out" and a block wouldn't load, you could try to load the damage...

Re: ZX Spectrum focused YouTube channels
Jim Blimey (don't know if that's his real name) sometimes does livestreams on Saturday nights using his "random game picker thingy". These happen on twitch and are uploaded to YouTube afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/@JimBlimey/videos Sometimes he livestreams things that aren't Spectrum...

It's definitely an important question, I'd like to add Chiller for Scary Spice

Re: FUSE error: "Couldn't play sound"
I've had a similar problem on a Windows 10 laptop and could only fix it by right clicking on the loudspeaker icon on the taskbar and selecting "Troubleshoot sound problems" and eventually re-installing the current sound driver through the options in there

I see Skool Daze has been mentioned already, but we could stay with Eric and help him through college and/or university, jobs part-time and full-time too

Re: Boriel ZX Basic compiler - a text-thirsty idea needing memory
Ooh a bit painful, I didn't know about the 128/+2 and 2A/3 differences, just needs an IF statement and an extra line of BASIC though Also If your Boriel code starts from 40010,in your Boriel section you could poke 40009 with a file number then peek it from 128K basic, e.g. LOAD ! "file"+ST...

Re: Boriel ZX Basic compiler - a text-thirsty idea needing memory
Hello
I've thought about storing large amounts of data in 128 mode with Boriel... using the 128 RAM disc and a 128 BASIC program to access the files saved on there, copying the data into the Spectrum's RAM then jumping back into the Boriel code. Never tried it though!

for Transylvanian Tower, If you use an emulator with a Multiface enabled, you can see the listing by pressing F5 then e(xit). Looks like the map is drawn from lines 8200.

A little less fighting in Viking Raiders compared to Battle 1917, still learning it though. I might be developing a crush on Brunhilda the Bold but that's probably down to being in lockdown too long. https://i.postimg.cc/SX0yw1Fp/brunhilda.png Looks like an steeper learning curve in Barbarians, good...

Battle 1917
Hi everyone, I've had some more spare time in lockdown and recently discovered and enjoyed Battle 1917 https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/448/ZX-Spectrum/Battle_1917 I usually win but not always and it's fun. Can anyone recommend something similar? It reminded me a little of the Raid part of The ...

Re: Add loading screen to .tap file
A useful thing is that you can use DOS to concatenate multiple .tap files into 1 file, so if you have a loader, a screen & another screen you can type copy /B loader.tap + screen1.tap + screen2.tap allInOneTap.tap note the B switch (binary) and the space between screen2.tap and the final, bigger...

Maybe a demo of drawing a Christmas tree with flashing lights or something, with some way of conveying to the user how it's done, educational lik...
