Re: Fuse Emulator 1.5
Thanks Peter - I'll try and remember to mirror announcements here :-) If anyone does want the announcements from the horse's mouth so to speak, you can subscribe to the very low volume fuse-emulator-announce list. Things will also tend to be tweeted by @FuseEmulator , or there's even an RSS feed of ...

Re: Preserving device firmwares?
A year or so ago, I was looking for the Currah µSource firmware and finally managed to find it on some obscure website as part of a larger BIN file. I don't think that's problem that ZXDB or Spectrum Compuing is going to solve - as far as I know, there is no permission to redistribute the µSource f...

Re: Preserving device firmwares?
Do you have the link for Spectranet firmware? Guesser's already pointed to the SVN repo; the not quite latest (r570 vs r576) firmware is available from the Spectranet downloads page . I'm sure Dylan would help get stuff fixed up if there were interest in the Spectranet. See also the various DivIDE ...

Re: Stability of IDs in ZXDB
Can you tell me more about your usage of this information, so I can try to minimize impacts for you? At the moment, the use case is fairly simple: as part of the regression test suite for Fuse, I have a set of 164 games which are automatically checked to see if they load correctly. For this test su...

Re: Loading a CODE block on the +3
Thanks - in the more general case, I might not want to switch into 48K mode though... two commands it is then.

Loading a CODE block on the +3
Let's say I have a copy of Pheenix . As this is one of those funny programs which needs to be loaded with LOAD ""CODE rather than just LOAD "", to load this: On a 48K machine, I press J, Symbol Shift + P, Symbol Shift + P, Caps Shift + Symbol Shift, I, Enter and the game loads fr...

Re: World of Spectrum....
It's also worth noting that Martijn was pretty much doing a full-time job (in terms of hours) maintaining WoS - on top of his actual real life job. Not surprising that other people couldn't keep up with that level of effort.

Preserving device firmwares?
Is there interest in listing / hosting device firmwares - for example, the Spectranet hardware itself is listed, but not the firmware, without which it's pretty useless. At least in the case of the Spectranet, the firmware is open source so could happily be redistributed. See also the various DivIDE...

Re: Stability of IDs in ZXDB
From memory, the releases table there isn't an id field MariaDB [zxdb]> show index from releases; +----------+------------+----------+--------------+-------------+-----------+-------------+----------+--------+------+------------+---------+---------------+ | Table | Non_unique | Key_name | Seq_in_in...

Stability of IDs in ZXDB
[ Not sure if this is the right place for this topic. If it's not, please move it somewhere more appropriate ] As well as the well known game IDs, ZXDB contains IDs for things like releases, labels and the like. How stable are these IDs across ZXDB releases? For example, if I'm looking at the releas...

Fuse is not FUSE :-)
The description for this section says "Struggling with FUSE [...]". The preferred typesetting for Fuse is "Fuse", not "FUSE" which is the Filesystem in Userspace. Don't blame me for the confusion in names, I was there first :-) [ OK, so this post doesn't have much conte...
