Re: How can I get a notepad listing into Fuse?

You can also use a tool like BAS2TAP to convert a BASIC listing into a TAP file that you can then load into Fuse:

And the other astonishing things from this poll, is that SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY VOTED FOR BUBBLER AND MARTIANOIDS.
I said it in another thread, and I'll say it again here:

BUBBLER IS ACTUALLY A PRETTY DECENT GAME.

:-)

And I'll add: it's probably the best Ultimate game published after Alien 8.

Re: The best Speccy game by Ultimate: vote

What impressed me a lot about Atic Atac was when I watched a walkthrough of it on YouTube, it was only two or three minutes long!!! Yeah many games can actually be finished in just a few minutes, I'm always shocked when I see the videos. That happened to me in particular with Sir Fred, I feel like ...

Re: The best Speccy game by Ultimate: discussion

I didn't have a Spectrum when the Ultimate games came out, I only played them when the company had already disappeared. I can imagine that when most games looked like Chuckie Egg or Horace and the Spiders then something like Atic Atac or Sabre Wulf must have caused a great impression. I missed that ...

Re: The best Speccy game by Ultimate: discussion

Here's a different answer to this question: As I'm sure many of you know, Rare (the company founded by the Stampers after Ultimate) published in 2015 a compilation for the Xbox named Rare Replay, which includes 30 of their games. Among those there are 7 of their Ultimate-era games: Jetpac, all 5 48K...

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with X: discussion

I think Xybots is actually pretty good: Lots of levels. Around 50 on the Spectrum version, more than 3 hours of continuous gameplay. Ok difficulty level: it's very hard to finish the game but it's very easy to make progress and complete many levels before you run out of lives, so it's challenging bu...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Now I am curious to see what your old webpage was?!! What was the name? :) It was simply "Mi páginal personal" or something like that, with the classic 90s/Geocities design :-) It must have been around 1997 or so. Initially it was only Spectrum content, then I added some Linux stuff. And by the way...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Is there a way (without using Flatpak or building from source) that you can still run 1.5.7 whilst still on the LTS version of Ubuntu? I forgot to add: I guess you can try to simply install the binary packages from a more recent distribution. Change temporarily the deb entry in your sources.list, t...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Welcome to the forums @CaptainKrenon Can I take the opportunity to ask you a couple of questions about the Ubuntu packaging of Fuse, and about Flatpak? Hi Peter, if you want to use packages from a more recent version of your distribution you typically need to rebuild them. This is not always easy o...
