Encyclopedia Britannica Anglotutor Test

Hi all! Just realized that Alessandro recently created entries for the Anglotutor language course (entries 42239-42246) and uploaded TZXs for each one of the installments. Kudos to Alessandro and all the people involved! Please note that volumes 1-4 (entries 42239 to 42243) were published as part of...

Re: The Brick

Whoops! Sorry - you're right, of course! It was preserved by Mode2 and Metalbrain - we uploaded it to the SPA2 archive back in 2018! Strangely I didn't see it the other day and therefore looked for it in our backlog . Obviously I couldn't find it there since it was already in the archive! Sorry for ...

Re: uMIA program and uMIA publisher

I already knew of this one (which in fact seems to be called File Disk, and is yet to be preserved).

There are a handful of programs of Silog which are not yet listed in Spectrum Computing.

Re: uMIA: DSC-50 Sequencer by FPS Soft (1984)

I don't know more about this publisher or anything. It was an outstanding preservation work from Alberto Cuesta, but it's rare as hell. I've not seen any review in Spanish magazines or whatever. I noticed though that there is some in-program typo ("Developped by" instead of "Developed...

Re: Spanish uMIAs from Micro-World

Hi Iván, Very interesting again! The ad states World-Micro, S.A. as the name of the publisher, not Micro-World. Indeed I just realized that label 9696 should be renamed like this, so I made a fix request through the label change form. Please note that it is not the same company than Micro World, S.A...

Yep, really interesting. Thanks Iván!

There is more information about Comercial 4 at Todospectrum issue 09, pages 16 to 19. And the review you pointed to is located at MicroHobby issue 25, page 25.

Cheers,
Juan

Re: uMIA games from the Investronica/ZX contest

There is a homebrew game called Taipam which was developed by J. Bayon. It was recovered and published here:

https://trastero.speccy.org/2004/200904/200904.htm

It might be that same Taipan that was mentioned there?

Re: uMIAS from Microgesa (Spain) in a magazine

Hi Iván!

One of those (Curso de contabilidad II, also called Contable-2) was recently preserved by Alberto Cuesta (yet to be published).

The rest of them are still MIA.

Re: Sol Negro colour version

Hello, That's not entirely precise. The coloured version of the game was indeed recovered in 2005 and published through speccy.org, but it was released comercially back then. There was no individual release of it - instead, it saw the light of day within the compilation "Pack 5 Éxitos de Opera&...

Hi there!

Is there any foreseeable plan to install any other plugin that generates RSS feeds?

A couple of photographs of the official binding for the eight installments of Concon (along with 7 out of 8 tapes): https://i.ibb.co/ygMtDZ8/concon0.jpg https://i.ibb.co/j89NLyZ/concon1.jpg Each installment was sold individually with its co-related tape. Hi Einar: Here comes the list. Please do not hesitate to ask me any question you may have. I think Neil Parsons may add valuable information here: 48K: Covertape (comes with a rather simple magazine, but it has editorial, news and even some type-ins). Some of the programs may have...

Re: Babbage?

Hi, The above discussion raises another question to me. From the old WoS times, we've been classifying certain kind of Spanish tape collections or series as electronic magazines when they aren't zines - at least not in an strict sense. They shared some characteristics though: - Sold in newstands - N...

Re: Babbage?

Hi Einar, I'd say it's not a covertape but an electronic magazine. Not long ago I found this advertising leaflet somewhere on the Internet. I don't see this as conclusive proof but it seems to point in that direction. I'd say it was sold as a standalone cassette accompanied by a backing cardboard. I...

Re: New RSS Reader Extension

Hi PeterJ ,

Just noticed this - that's a really nice feature! I'd like to use Feedly to follow the forums, but it's seemingly not working.

May it be that Feedly is blocked as well, as flatduckrecords suggested?

Thanks for your brilliant work!
