Re: Labels?

I can't right now think of anything better than "products", though even that is not entirely accurate. A more accurate description might be "non-recurring products for use with the ZX Spectrum", but that's really quite a mouthful.

Re: Labels?

Yes, I'm considering to rename "entries" too. Each entry could be: A software tape (that could contain an individual program, a compilation, a covertape, or an electronic magazine) Each individual program from a compilation, covertape, or type-in (even if this program was never released on tape sep...

Re: Found some old original tapes

For example, I was just looking at titles by Gargoyle Games. It looked at only two titles before I found an example of the sort of thing I meant: Tir na Nog contains commentary and cheats.

Re: Found some old original tapes

Yes. The overall quality of the .txt instructions in the archive is poor from a preservation perspective. They often have very little to do with the original instructions. Rather than transcriptions, they are frequently complete rewrites omitting information the author wasn't interested in and addi...

Re: Found some old original tapes

We don't usually publish reverse side of inlays (inside text) in scanned form at SC. Only in TXT format. I think it would be even better to store both! Yes. The overall quality of the .txt instructions in the archive is poor from a preservation perspective. They often have very little to do with th...

Re: Average magazine score

It might help to exclude games with only 1 or 2 reviews. Also calculating a median, rather than a mean, would strip out outliers like 22% for Ant Attack. It would, however, mean more bunching around scores like 80%, as for a lot of games the median score might well be a 4/5 or 8/10. On the other han...
